So I've spent today running the F1 2022 benchmark test in multiple different settings and, according to the benchmark test, I can run at around 50-60 FPS in medium.
I can actually live with that, but when I go into the game with these settings, it is nothing short of disastrous. Choppy frame rate around 5-10 frames per second.
One of the main thing I noticed was when I would turn on my Fanatec DD Pro, the FPS would drop significantly and when I would turn the wheel during a benchmark test the FPS would drop to 3 min 11 avg and 38 max. With the wheel I was emulating as if I where to be driving.
The other thing I noticed is that, even in th benchmark tests, the sound would continuously drop out.
I managed to sort of fix that by dropping the bit/sample rate to the broadcast standard of 24/48. That seems to be steady now.
VR Quest2 is totally unplayable with the jitter and jumping.
Please figure this out soon. Whatever you did between the review releases and the pre-release (which I'm now glad I didn't pay for) must have messed something up. Although for some the VR didn't work in the review version. I did not see many complaints about those that tested it a few months back, but then again... free....
