What you see on(in?) the first image is actually present in the spreadsheet, bottom right table "WetnessGrip". It was surprising to find that this is where the difference between compounds' %grip is defined
Back to the actual concept of replying, thank you so much! I am stealing these images and putting them in my folder, might try making a graph of my on in Excel but I'm not very good at this so lol
- 3 years ago@Blackbird90 Good Question. Always been thinking how to know which is the exact current wetness level.
- 3 years ago@Blackbird90 All I know is that 1 layer of blue lines = light rain, 2 layers of blue lines = heavy rain
What maximum % of wetness each produces and whether it's a static value or not is anyone's guess. I mean it's probably somewhere in the files but I am not nearly competent enough to find it- 3 years ago@D34THNO1E Hmm. Considering that we have an instant transition into wet/dry like on schedule all the time, I can assume it's all static.

@D34THNO1ELoving the work you’ve put this… Awesome help for everyone
@EA_Kent this would be great to add to a hints and tips thread permanently pinned 👍

The data from the file may be also used to set up a kind of a 'simulator' of the absolute grip comparison per compound/track/lap.
It clearly needs some telemetry data as well to be used: the (percentage of) wear per compound/track/lap.
And unfortunately I don't have all the data available, I'm running my own championship and got the data of the first 4 tracks so far.
For example at Imola I have this data (wear per lap at 100% race distance, GP mode):
(S) 3,44% per lap
(M) 2,00% per lap
(H) 1,33% per lap
From that and all the stuff taken from the file it's possible to know that
- after 15 laps a (S), which is a C4, has 89,9% of 'absolute' grip remaining;
- after 25 laps a (M)-C3 has 89,7%
- after 48 laps a (H)-C2 has 89,4%
So it's possible to decide a better the pit stop strategy (all in all the in-game simulator shouldn't be different).
Even if I'm used to get empirical data from my pace tests with all the compounds, so I use it only to "confirm" or slightly modify my strategy.
Greetings,
Nuv
