Hey all,
Thanks for your reports on this - could you try these if you haven't already and let me know if they make a difference?
- Turn DLSS off
- Using Oculus Link instead of Virtual Desktop
- Or if you do use Virtual Desktop, try turning off Sliced Encoding and Video Buffering in the settings

Hi
I don't use dlss, or oculus as I have reverb G2 and don't use virtual desktop either.....but still have the awful jerky image especially when waiting to start.

@jenny_a_m you still do not want to admit that the game is VR broken...

Thank you @jenny_a_m for responding, at least somebody has responded to something in relation to VR, you might (you may already have done so) want to check out the main post on this - Solved: F1 22 PC VR jittering, freezing screens and crashing - Answer HQ (ea.com) - you can see all the diagnostics and settings we've all tried over the last 6 months, not one of us has been able to resolve the core issue which is move your head and the car moves with you, causing motion sickness. Even on 4090 GPUs.
Personally I just think some love needs to be given to VR, my suspicion is it was outsourced and EA are unwilling to pay for further work on it. Just a hunch. 🙂

VR in general is a crap shoot across all racing titles from my experience. Quite the rabbit hole! It takes a lot of messing around to get things "acceptable" which is quite subjective. But I can't go back now!
I have it looking surprisingly good on my modest system. (specs below) I get a steady 70-72 fps with occasional stutter on race starts with low graphic settings on a Quest 2. As good if not a bit better than AMS2 but way better than ACC!
I use 72hz at 1.5x resolution in Oculus Link resulting in 5408x2736 and 100% in Steam VR. But... I will randomly get different resolutions in Steam VR after quitting and restarting which throws everything off in game! It straightens out after restarting Steam VR.
All that being said... it is a major PITA to have to spend so much time troubleshooting just to spend a few hours a week driving! I think most of these developers are flying by the seat of their pants with VR.
