F1 22 vs 21 vs 20?
Hi, Im casual player. I dont play multi, just single and career mode. I have bounced off F1 22 coz of AI straight line speed. 1. Is AI straight line speed still a thing in F1 22 or it has been...
@nedreV22There's a big distinction between the car handling in 2020 vs. 2021.
2020: Plenty of traction under acceleration and you can be really aggressive taking kerbs, but it's very easy to lock up the brakes.
2021: Acceleration is more finicky and you have to be selective about which kerbs you take, but braking is much smoother, and there's a Quick Practice option in career mode so you don't have to do the same practice programs over and over.
I strongly prefer 2021. I still think there's more than enough traction to be aggressive on the throttle out of corners, but a lot of people find it touchy. Most of the community prefers 2020.
I'm on controller with no assists and no vibration, if that matters.
What platform do you play on @nedreV22 ? If it's a current gen. console then you'd likely prefer '21 over '20 due to load times, particularly as you've played '22 already.120 Hz mode also wasn't present in F1 2020.
Concerning handling and races I would go for F1 2020, then F1 22. F1 22 only works with full tc for me and my pad, which costs pace, especially at Start. F1 2021 is very nervous for me, but still makes fun.
Concerning tracklist F1 22 on PC can be patched to use portimao and Shanghai in myteam too, Else for console F1 2021 better, due you can use portimao and Shanghai for myteam and sochi is better than Miami imo. F1 2020 has three short Versions, but Imola and portimao are of course better.
Ah and yes, F1 2020 has classic cars, which is great. f1 2021 the one time fun Mode braking point, which is 50/50 for me, F1 22 has super cars and F1 Life.... @
I am a casual player ( like since early nineties) with GP4 and many others. Started buying this series from Codemasters from the beginning until now, But things have changed on this game.
I understand the ground effect cars and how they work but this game as much as I have tried over the months since I bought it I cannot get a consistent exit out of corners without spinning.
I love these games but i am finding this one almost impossible.
I have watched TRL Limitless videos to try to learn this game, but cannot work out what to do at this point
Most players are not at F1ESports or TRL Limitless standard.
I think I am going to shelve this game and look somewhere else for my F1 fix

Is it a coincidence that EA now have their finger in this game and maybe this game may be on it's way to the history books never to be seen again
Yes. Partly as we're not talking about a new game but one developed over many years by Codemasters, and partly because we're going to be talking about different people involved at EA given how long ago you're talking.
