F1 23 Announced
So F1 23 just got announced, what are we thinking? At least a new Fom model this year by the looks of it

I’ve pre-ordered every game since 2018, I’ve pretty much stopped playing 22, and have my doubts about pre-ordering 23.
With the season starting I’ll probably end up getting hyped up and start playing 22 again, and then pre-order 23… I’m pretty sure I’m addicted 🤪
P.S. I hope they sort the voice inputs so I don’t need to buy the last gen version of the game, and I can finally make use of all that PS5 power 🧐 @Nuvolarix

I’m reluctant to say this, so please take it with a giant pinch of salt… Obviously there will be bugs. But I hear gameplay will be better.

I think 22 just got a bit monotonous for me. If you recall our “conspirators” thread, I was data mining a lot to try and figure things out and I think I just got tired with it.
Fully aware there will be issues, and actually apart from 2 major issues I have (1-voice commands on PS5 version, and 2-game “cheating”), 22 was actually fairly decent for me because I mainly play MyTeam.
BTW, have you noticed a better AI balance recently? I noticed in Miami I wasn’t losing so much time on the straights compared to AI.
- @Monzstar83 Like you I only play My Team. Like you all I do is data mine. I actually love playing around with stuff like that so it actually suits me.
But ready for another conspiracy? Last few months of last years game I also noticed a behaviour change in the Ai. Becoming more aggressive. I honest to god was sure they were making unannounced changes to Ai in preparation for this years game😁
I Havnt played since the patch yet. My daughter has pretty much moved in and taken over my toys😡. - @ScarDuck14 Haha i know but i still had to do it from what i know certain areas will really be hopefully improved.. Hopefully lol

- @Monzstar83 Right watching aarava (don’t tell anyone) my team race at Austria. I’m assuming it’s after the latest patch. And I can see ai behaviour I’ve not seen before. Looks better in the wet. Ai Cars are spinning as regularly as you would see irl
- @Monzstar83 And he went from 3rd to1st at start off race in full wet conditions…. That never happens
For F1 23, all I can hope is that they have some big things up their sleeve.
From what I’ve heard, there’s supposed to be some pretty exciting gameplay features coming, but only time will tell.
Hoping for a more informative reveal soon. 🤞
Same here. Im expecting we wont hear anything until end of march/mid April. Also, this game cycle should mean the story mode coming back so it will be interesting to see if it does.
For me personally there needs to be more changes made to my team to make it more engaging for sure.
Multiplayer always will be a train wreck but i dont really play it much

@Cpayne32Have you signed up to EA play testing. If you Havnt Better to do it sooner rather than later. You can now specify what type off games your willing to test
I’ve been signed up for a while but never get chosen for anything and the one time i did it was a total error and was told they would make up for it
- @Cpayne32 I’ve been offered a few things since they updated the preference options. But hadt to decline them for one reason or another. Knowing my luck as this is the one I really want I’ll miss out

@Cpayne32 100% agree - I watched Raycevick video on f1 titles recently and some previous titles had more immersion i.e. being in the paddock etc (https://youtu.be/0VMEM_rRR5E) that would be a good start. I think they need to do something different with the development trees, like being able to choose from a range of parts that have different characteristics in performance and physical designs - that would be awesome
@Monzstar83 @mariohomoh posted a thread on his new racing game video the other day. Was a good watch. But I do love his videos. Wish he’d post more… more often
- @Monzstar83 Just raced Australia. Every time I came out off last corner onto straight I stayed right up behind whoever was Infront and went from 8th to 3rd with myteam being 4th ranked team. So definitely something as changed. Not so sure it’s the AI though. Think it’s more traction at low speeds. But can’t be sure. But something is better
many things are missing to make the game always interesting. for example, equal performance should only be for the engine, not for the setup since the cars are physically different from each other. not the only strategy for all races especially for 50%. personalized use dell ers as in free practice. possibility to change only the wing not the tires as well ecc ecc

What context do you have in mind? For online multiplayer I personally think what is desirable is 100% equal performance as now.
- Thinner front nose, downwash side pods & better wing mirrors. If this is indeed the players new car then props to them. If we're being super optimistic maybe it's hinting at different chassis options?
Also, it's shown off in a blank canvas. No reveal/launch livery to it. I might be inhaling too much hopium here but maybe it's a hint to them finally giving us a blank canvas to create our own liveries? Would literally be the only reason I buy this day 1. If not, it's a hard pass from me. Since F1 23 has been announcing now, I’m wondering when the F1 23 forums will be created?
