Maybe the new game engine doesn't disqualifies the old generation. Rumors say about Ego switch to Frostbite. As wee se in Battlefield 2042, game looks well on both generations.

@Tomski_PL as far as I can remember, no staff ever mentioned F1 23 being new gen only. It was only a rumour being passed around after Henderson brought it up on his blog.

Regarding the videos, let me get this straight. You've got your hands on a dev build or the like, and all you do is show the EA Sports splash screen and vignette, both widely available, and the official season TV opening - coincidentally just released this week?

    Yeah. 🙂

@Tomski_PL It's really unlikely a studio would split the games to two different engines to accommodate last gen and current gen for a yearly game. This is compounded further with Frostbite being a totally different beast to Ego. If the game would be released there would have to be two different teams dealing with bugs, problems, content etc. I don't know if it would be viable for Codemasters to pull that off hence why F1 2024 is more likely to be a new engine on current gen only. Additionally the install base of PS5 and Xbox Series is likely to be far larger next year now that the console shortage is over.
