P.S. Sorry for the diverting the conversation, @Nuvolarix!

Don’t worry @Monzstar83 and nice to hear from you! And also thanks for the contribution 🙂

@Nuvolarix anytime mate - I really hope they can deal with some of these smaller suggestions - a number of small improvements can make a big impact on the game experience 👍🏽
- Nuvolarix3 years agoSeasoned Ace
@Monzstar83 yes that was exactly the purpose, the user experience can change from top to down and vice versa even for small features like these 🙂
I experienced it yesterday: I was simply delighted after an awesome race in Suzuka like did not happen in the last 4-5 GP, driven well by me, no weird stategy by AI (or however no strange effects on pace), very tight battle till the end. Everything wow. After the race I saved everything I can etc. and (damn it) I clicked forward before to check tyre allocation for Austin! Where clearly (M) tyre allocation is a must while I had (S) for Japan 😞
I turned into upset/sad in a while… 🤦♂️

Thanks @Ritami888 🙂
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Nuvolarix Most frustrating thing about this game. On the occasion the planets align everything is great. I’ve had some awesome races with this years game. But so many times something leaves a bitter taste in my mouth

My wishlist for F1 23:
- elimination of Dsyncs
- Anti Cheat System (you know what it means!)
- Eliminate the ego dumpers. How can it be that every other current game runs without errors, except F1 22
- More realistic driving behavior
- Red flag
- Continued Breaking Point
- Elimination of F1 life
- More stable server or finally outsource the server. Other games can do it too
- round back under SC
- realistic track limits
The development of the game has been stagnant for a while. The same problems have persisted over the years. And now you get scared every time a new patch comes out, because you always have a surprise egg, which then doesn't! functions. The development of the game has been stagnant for a while. Maybe EA can answer the question why you should buy F1 23, except that they make money with it? As a player, you don't get much out of it, except for major bugs again. The last half decent one was f1 2019.....................................

@sascha_focus1975 ok but this was a thread specified for "small features but easy to implement" 😉
for complete wishlist I would rather use one of the following topics:

@Nuvolarix @Ritami888 all,
My 2p/cents on this; I work in implementing business systems that cover a large range of business processes - of course we set out to deal with the big business issues at our clients as priority. Sometimes system limitations/ complexity/ cost can lead to delays or compromises on these, but I think everyone can deal with that given some transparency and communication.
But the “low-hanging fruit” - stuff that can easily be achieved with minimal effort and low risk of impact on other system areas, should not be overlooked, as it all adds up. We deal with as many of these as we can, as it’s just indicative of a better system.
Of course the big issues come first and there is always a balance to be struck - but if you’re not delivering the big things, you had better be delivering the small things.
In the absence of big solutions, the end-user will inevitably switch their focus to the smaller things and be sat there frustrated, thinking “why can’t they just deal with this?” - it bubbles up and this what I think is happening here. Capacity can always be freed up to gain some “wins” in a “losing” situation, and this is what I think EA/CM should do here - particularly towards the end of a game cycle.
As many will know, I’ve been a regular on these and the CM boards for a long while - and while I think the recent games (for me) have generally been decent, but I’ve often found myself sat there thinking “why can’t they just deal with this?” when it comes to the small things. It genuinely baffles me that many of the small improvements identified in this thread have have been knocking around for many months or years.
I really want EA/CM to be successful for this game, and I think a little shift in focus could help them go some way to achieve this.
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Monzstar83 Wanna know what’s scary. My ‘source’ 🙄😂 wishes more off EA’s studios were as sensitive to their community as Codemasters are. My ‘Source’ 🙄😂. Says Codemasters often scroll the forums (which I already knew) looking for community feedback. I’ve already asked some months back for suggestions forum to return and replace the drivers lounge. Will make it easier for suggestions to be posted and talked about and for the dev team to read through them.
But that doesn’t mean the dev team will openly post on them because they won’t. - Monzstar833 years agoSeasoned Ace

But votes alone should not be the only bar they react to - let me explain. The Bigger voted suggestions they should definitely look into, but there will be suggestions which are obviously good that do not get many votes. The decision makers need to be able to identify genuinely good suggestions and get them in the game. So for example, my suggestion of a thin white outline for car markers in the mini-map or all menus to be fully cycle-able (currently some are, some aren’t) - neither of these got too much traction when posted compared to the bigger issues (something like 35%, 75% race distance), but are clearly small quality of life and easy improvements that can be made.
Knock these small things off the list while working on the bigger stuff, and the game is better overall. - ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Monzstar83 With you on the thin white line👍
But I go back to I tried to explain to the user off many many accounts( I’m forever watching ). The devs will not actively engage on a suggestions thread. Danger being if they say to someone that their suggestion is awesome and they implement it into a game. It’s leaves the door open for someone to seek monetary reward. No matter how unlikely their chance in a court would be. It’s a headache EA will want to do without. So adding a polling system where the devs add the winning suggestion to the game. The author of said suggestion could have a case.
I emailed Ubisoft back in ps3 days. Before I could email them. Was a long disclaimer about it I was emailing them to suggest something I do so freely blah blah blah. - Monzstar833 years agoSeasoned Ace

So basically if I make a suggestion and they use it, I could claim a reward? Curious though, CM did have a suggestion board, so this must have applied to them. If EA don’t want the legal headache, then that is not a good situation - no way to make suggestions and they actively won’t implement anything suggested? Bonkers 🤪 Can’t remember if I had to agree some some T&C’s to join this forum, but surely that would have been covered?
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Monzstar83 I would guess because off American culture it’s more a EA thing than a codemasters thing. As American have that suing culture. I maybe wrong but from the time I emailed Ubisoft and the fact on codemasters suggestion forum. The devs never actually posted yet I would notice they would often be browsing the board. As codemasters forums had the features to see who’s online and what that are looking at.

Even if there may be these 'legal reasons', I hope they can "get inspired" quietly or the forum is simply nonsense.
I hope that common sense is still part of this world...
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Nuvolarix I think that’s exactly what they do.
- Nuvolarix3 years agoSeasoned Ace
@ScarDuck14 so it's enough for me, my reward is a game getting better and better ❤️
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend
@NuvolarixProblem with how the forums are currently. It’s hard for them to browse suggestions as they quickly fall off the front page. Or they are just an endless list of suggestions that have been said time and time again.
Beauty off your, @Meza994 , and @Monzstar83 suggestions is they are well thought out after putting many hours into the game.
My thing is more about getting issues and bugs fixed which I’m told will be improved come 23 - Nuvolarix3 years agoSeasoned Ace
Yes I agree, it's not easy to properly collect suggestions unless some 'unofficial' users (having regard to the previous considerations) try to collect them in a single topic, perhaps distinguishing 'easy and fast' from 'majors' and 'confirmed and verified' from 'first impression' etc., always updating the main post or something like that.
I think I (we) can try to do it in the future starting from F1 23 I would say, maybe with a pinned topic. Just brainstorming...
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Nuvolarix I’m hoping for a separate board. I’ve asked. If they don’t put one up for 23. I’ll ask again and again 😈
But don’t get your hopes up. Lost count off the times I’ve asked for a high end sim rig and I’ve still not got one 😤😂
If they pinned a mega thread. The author would have to be a trusted member of the community who would update their OP to include every new suggestion throughout the year 😉. Cause I ain’t gunna do it 😂
