F1 Time Trials not loading
EA F1 Time Trials will not load. F2 and super car time trails load just fine. I can also run an F1 GP without issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but Time Trial for F1 is just stuck a loadin...
Hi all,
As Ultrasonic_77 mentioned earlier, we are still looking into this issue.
I understand that it's frustrating that the Time Trials are not working properly, but our intent is not to push you into buying the game again on another platform. We don't want you to feel like you have to do that.
Please bear with us on this while we continue our investigation. We're working to get this resolved as soon as we can.
Hi Ultrasonic_77 , i'm asking for a refund or for a Steam version of the game, it's now a month that i can't play. I have 39 years and never experienced something like this... Do i need to buy a Steam account to play the game??? This is just unthinkable....

I think you realise but I'm not the right person to direct the first part to as I don't work for EA (as per my signature). I also don't play on PC so I'm not certain how Steam works, although I'd be surprised if it turns out you need to 'buy' access rather than just signing up. It's basically a storefront to buy games I thought? Just install Steam and take it from there.
I'm older than you btw, and so probably like you remember games before the concept of frequent post-launch changes became 'a thing' (for good and ill).
I do expect this issue will eventually be fixed but I do absolutely agree it's been going on too long, which is why I've done what I can to draw attention to it.
Platform: EA Origin, Windows 10
Country: Poland
ISP: Vectra
And same problem. Only task manager can kill F1_22.
Hey all
Just to keep you updated, the dev team are still working on this issue. Once I have a further update for you, I'll let you know.
Hi everyone,
I had the same issue. The only way to play is to play in offline mode. Then you can load into a time trial you previously set a time for.
I think this issue works like this:
So if you play in offline you can skip the broken step 3

The issue is when loading your previous lap time from the leaderboards during the loading screen in time trial on EA and Origin.
It will 100% work when not connected to the Internet but its a useless workaround if you want to set times on the leaderboard.
It should be an easy fix for the devs now they know where to look.

Not actually an update was it ?
How about some actual detail ? Have you eliminated anything ? Is a database issue ? Was a change made that broke things ? If it was have you tried reverting ?
EA please stop treating us like idiots and start treating us like PAYING customers.
Would more details actually make any practical difference? I've seen plenty of bug discussions go on and on with no acknowledgement or update at all so personally if there's a bug I want fixing I'm always encouraged to see replies like the one above. Plus if they always get criticised for not being of any value then even these are less likely to be posted.

Actually We would like to see a clear deadline, and if they fail to fix some info whats next. Maybe a promise of a steam key.. I really think we deserve that after more than a month... Especially when we are just before some christmas days off work with more time to just chill and play.
Indeed I would like to move my F1 22 from Origin to steam because of this issue. They should give players an option to move to steam for F1 22. Takes way to long.
Actually not fixing this after 1 month is a disgrace. No official word nothing and no updates.

I think this issue works like this:
- Load a time trial session on a track you haven't completed laps on
- When you successfully set a lap it posts it to the ea servers and links the time to your user
- When you come back to load time trial, it tries to load your previous time and fails because there's some issue in the background with receiving leaderboards
So if you play in offline you can skip the broken step 3
Actually, I have a question. Knowing a little about how Steam works, the TT ghosts are stored locally but are synced to Steam cloud.
If Steam users can get times uploaded and reloaded and EA/Origin users can't.....
Either
the EA version of the game isn't looking for a file in the correct location (hard coding, etc., wrong game code loaded to TT module)
Or
it isn't storing the file locally
Or
EA users aren't communicating with the server correctly / server is not connecting to EA users specifically.
Could be interesting if Steam users disable Steam Cloud sync.
I know that if you clean install the game on Steam and don't have cloud sync you overwrite your leaderboard the first time you connect to a server where you have a leaderboard time already set.The fastest time in that session becomes your new leaderboard time. You can load your setup from the leaderboard - the ghost I'm unsure, think it's the default ghost until it becomes a PB ghost.

The EA version of F1 game is not communicating with the server correctly. When executable file hangs it hangs upon network response awaiting. I was pointing it out weeks ago in some thread related to Time Trial hanging out F1 game on Origin/EA.
Still problem persists. I just had my game hanged upon starting Spain Time Trial.
Sounds an easy fix. If not, left hand, right hand. Shame.
This is how it looks like when F1_22.exe EA version hangs upon entering Time Trial.

Seems replicable then and should be added to Community Raised Issues and a fix found.
Actual bug, not just noise, which on this forum is a detractor.
I have even prepared a video a couple of weeks ago. As you can see it's way over a month now and still we have to deal with a bug that's only affects EA version users and it's - for sure - backend related.
And for the record I've killed F1_22.exe yesterday like 10 times trying to work on Time Trial challenge from Podium Pass.
Hello,
I've a lot of issues with F1 22.
- Time trial not loading and my lap aren't saved.
- Many crashes while changing track or just loading...
EA... fun !
