Fanatec CSL DD pedals not recognized

I've been playing games primarily on Xbox and finally decided to move to a gaming PC with the intention of using my Game Pass ultimate account to run F1 and other EA titles.  I installed the Xbox app on the new PC (Lenovo Legion) and installed F1 22.  When I finally got the game to load and attempted to calibrate my Fanatec CSL DD wheelbase and pedals, I was able to bind the controls on the wheelbase, but the game will not recognize the pedals.  I ran ACC before and after running F1 22 and had no issues with the pedals in ACC.

Not sure if it's relevant, but when I load F1 22, it gives me a strange message about requiring a controller to bind the controls.  Once I power up a controller, it takes me to a screen where none of the bindings are set and I essentially have to bind everything.  Very strange.

Also, the game doesn't appear to recognize that my Xbox and EA accounts are linked.  Therefore, it starts me from scratch with none of the progress that I previously made on Xbox.  I've tried unlinking and then re-linking the accounts with no luck.

Thanks in advance for any help.
