@NuvolarixIf you allow me to mate, I would like to know how Fanatec in general feels in F1 22 from users who own it.
Been thinking of upgrading from my old G29 to some Fanatec wheel.- mariohomoh4 years agoHero (Retired)@Nuvolarix Going from memory and what I picked up on forums and Discord, I think all buttons work perfectly fine and are all remappable on PS4/PS5 apart from the left analog stick.
@dancrodrigues eita, danado! - Nuvolarix4 years agoSeasoned Ace
@mariohomoh Thank you 😊
@dancrodrigues I did the same change one year ago, CSL base for PS4 and F1 wheel with CSL 2 pedals at first, now with the new LC. You clearly look like more an F1 driver and you may find a bit more pace but do not expect big differences in laptimes.
the G29 is surely far from Fanatec quality but already a good product imho, I’m still owning one, my son is running with it 🙂 @Nuvolarix more specifically about the pedals, are there a huge difference? Recently I changed the coils from my G29 pedals and I felt a brutal difference both in laptime and pace regularity. Thanks for you insight mate!
@mariohomoh i put "eita, danado" in google translator and man, that's funny! Right at the moment thinking in both alternatives and both have the same prices in the end. Cannot expect much with 1 US$ > 5BRL.

@dancrodrigues I think the most is about feeling but I wouldn’t say huge anyway.
With G29 I was using clutch for braking, with the CSL two pedals I was on the same laptime in one day more or less, later I got more feeling.
The biggest change has been with LC, I needed more time to get comfortable, I think I can be more precise now, but everything is about training imho. And also personal feelings, I know fast guys who doesn’t like LC.
However for me it was worth it 🙂
- @Nuvolarix In addition to the left analog stick you can’t map the middle one of the three switches

@Nuvolarix I have that wheel, used it both PS4 & 5 w F1 2021 & 22. Functional the same in both games. Recently moved to a DD Pro 8 base from a CSW V2 (& drivehub) - very happy so far. Supported directly in game as a DD Pro.
All the buttons are mappable except the PS button -center low, share button- left, and options right. Also left analog stick is not recognized - would be great for look but CM has ignored it for years now.
I do recommend highly the Advanced Paddle Module (APM) option as it gives you analog clutch paddles with adjustable bite point (supported as a clutch, but not sure if the game sees it as variable or just on/off). Adds Magnetic shiffters and a second paddle set above, very handy I use for look back and overtake. I use the two red up/down toggles for activating MFD panels, and the two side knobs for Diff and Brake bias. Other knobs are Fuel and ERS modes - tho not used much now.
Center knob is the mode switch for the APM. So APM analog paddles can also be set to be seen as accel and brake for all hand operation.
So other than the analog stick, covers all the F1 game features I need.

@Nuvolarix wrote:Hi, anyone owning this steering wheel?
Are all the buttons working with PS4/PS5 in F1 22 or I mean like F1 2021 did?
Thanks in advance 😊

@Nuvolarix hi mate, good to speak to you again.
I have this wheel - using with csl elite wheelbase and LC pedals. All buttons, rotary wheels, switches works on it with 22 for ps5 (both game versions). As someone has already said PS, option and share buttons cannot be mapped, as well as left analogue stick. The middle left and right dials do work as well but only in a up/down fashion - you cannot set position 1, to be medium ERS, 2 to be high etc. there’s plenty there for all features with some buttons spare for me.
Would recommend getting the magnetic paddles as the standard ones are like jelly, and button caps (optional but great for added immersion - will take a pic for you of mine when back off holiday).
I considered the APM module, but the clutch is still only on/off not variable so extra money for a few extra inputs which I did not need.
I bought the wheel when it was sold as v2, Fanatec now selling the wheel as v2.5 which includes magnetic paddles in the price last time I looked some months ago.
Happy to answer any other questions you or anyone else has. Hope this helps 🖖🏽 - Nuvolarix4 years agoSeasoned Ace
