Game preload

Might this not depend on what platform we're talking about?

Yes you can, I bought on PS5, Champions Edition and it says I can preload on on June 26th.

I bought it on steam and for me it says release date 1st of july and nothing more.

Depends when the game is actually uploaded to Steam. It will certainly be ahead of the Early Access period. Could be a day 0 patch (quite normal).

Sometimes it is better to download on fast internet than preload. Unpacking and decryption could take longer than a straight download, especially on very fast internet.

Looks like we PC player will have to wait the release date...while consoles players can preload it since 17th June...meh...

I'd be surprised if Steam players can't preload. Unsure about Origin or Epic, never really used Epic but have installed Origin and loaded Apex Legends to try it. 

so I bought the champions edition on steam. So theoretically I should be able to play the game on the 28th of june, but steam says, that the game will be available to play from the 1st of july and onward. I don't know, what happen there, that it is displayed to me like it is.

The game is released on 1 July.

You get 3 days early access with Champions Edition. If it says Champions Edition on what you bought, it will unlock 3 days early.
