Gears jumping on upshift

My first allocated gearbox hit 70% and started jumping gears whilst upshifting. Fair enough, totally expected..

My issue is after putting a new gearbox in, it's still got the same issue. Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone know of a fix? Even tried changing to another new gearbox and turning game off and back on but that didn't fix the issue.

    Yeah I think it may have just been a bug. I hadn't been on the game for a few days, came on now and it seems to have sorted itself. 

    Cheers for the advice though that was going to be my next step trying run the worn gearbox till death.

    @ConRow95not come across this before. Very much sounds like a bug where the gearbox behaviour hasn’t reset.

    Only suggestion I can think off that may work and is far from ideal. Is to refit the worn gearbox and do some laps with it then refit another one then.  If that doesn’t work.   Only thing left would be to use it for a race and left it fail completely

    @ConRow95 Problem occurs only in my team/career? Try "Time trial" or another game. Maybe it's hardware issue?

    My problem is with downshifting. It doesn't matter what I do. In any game mode this happens. I tested it in F1 2020 to check and there the problem does not occur.

    @ConRow95 This may be a bit 'left field' but what type of controller are you using? If a wheel, do you use manual gear change? I only ask because I have suffered this problem in the past and it was caused by the paddle shift micro switch on my Fanatec McLaren GT3 wheel.
