@rolfisicas I'm echoing Ultra on this one. Can't really comment on it as ( a) that is not the expected behavior and (b) we're clueless about what you mean by "empirically verified".
Hi, By empirically verified, I mean that a player with the same setup as me does 4 seconds faster. To rule out the player's driving quality, the platforms have been swapped, and the fast player ends up being 4 seconds slower on my platform and I am 4 seconds better on his platform. How can this be if we use the same set up both?
- @rolfisicas Most likely it’s a issue with the platform that the car is slower on. Could be a number of things… hardware, software or even the controller you use.
This is the first time I’ve come across this. If it was a problem with the game more people would have reported it. All three of us champions are fully aware of what issues there in the game and I’m sorry this isn’t one off themMay be is the used hardware or the plattform you use, i don't know. But I know several players with this problem and I don't know the reason of that. Thanks!

As well as setups did you check that all game settings were identical?
There's no way one platform is inherently 4 seconds per lap slower than another or it would be easily apparent in crossplay lobbies.
Could it be due to the configuration of the fanatec steering wheel? or the hardware used as a computer with less features? For example, you see videos of some youtubers about a hotlap and you notice that they have a very high grip, the car seems to be between the rails. I know several players who using the same set up do not get that behavior of the car.
- @rolfisicas Are you using the gear meta? They have more traction cause in this game it’s faster to stay in high gears. A 2nd gear corner for example. Is now a 4th gear corner. Gives better traction accelerating through and out off corners. All your tubers use the same method

Take the whole F1 game community and ask them to drive two laps in a row, I'd be willing to wager the majority there wouldn't be able to score two laps in the same 2-3s ballpark 🙃
Without some proper testing or evidence, I don't see this discussion going anywhere. I'm not even thaaat old as some of our fellows here, but I've been around for some good years now and this is the first time I've ever seen this raised up.
So my best guess is there isn't really as much of a veritable parity as you seem to think. From player inputs to the weeds of settings (hardware and software both), small bits like camera FOV to sitting position if playing on a wheel can eat away a lot on what we would otherwise assume as being consistent with a previous go.
If you want to make it easier, set it to automatic transmission, turn on every assist available on the max level, choose a default camera configuration, and just try to drive on the racing line to the best of your ability.
If even so you're consistently getting the same overall difference in laptimes, then we can get on to investigating it further, isolation factors and variables and so on to check if indeed there are different grip levels across platforms

4 seconds is FOREVER in this game and the fact you and a friend can go back and forth with a 4 second difference is just weird.
After resetting both systems can you reproduce the same 4 second results? There is a grip difference between PC and Consoles but it's nowhere near 4 seconds.
As your both slower on one platform start looking for problems there.
Are you using same controller system on both platforms?Hi!! The 4s differences can be lower since 3s aprox when i practice much more, but is physically impossible decrease the difference. The controller system I am using is the fanatec wheel CSL DD pro 5nm. Is it possible that the PC hardware and software produce this grip lack? It's important to say that I have observed this grip lack in previous game versions. For example en F1 2012 or F1 2013 didn't observe any grip lack for example.

I have very little experience with PC but I would check ALL my settings both PC and in game again.
