Harsh Force Feedback After 1.10 Patch

It looks like my previous post got deleted, so I'm going to post this again.

Setup: CSL Elite wheelbase with Formula 2.5x wheel.

FFB is more harsh after this 1.10 patch, especially when hitting the walls and other cars. Limitless has talked about it in his recent video here:

It also feels more harsh when rolling over curbs. In the tracks that I've played since the update, it feels like random potholes have been scattered across the tracks. Not sure if this was all in an effort to combat the FPS issue, but it makes it a much less pleasurable experience.

We don't need FFB that's more pronounced, we need better physics that give us more/better detailed feedback. I hope you guys make that effort for next year's game. If a small company like Reiza can do it for AMS2, surely you guys have the resources to give us the game we all deserve.

Yupp, that’s the one. Thanks for finding it. It was odd that I didn’t get any notification that it was consolidated into another post.

Also, is this technically a “bug”? Or was it their attempt to modify the game’s FFB to try to make it better? I think it was fine staying in the general section as I haven’t seen the other posts consolidated.

Looks like an unintended change to me. There is nothing in the patch notes to suggest an attempt to improve the FFB and even if this were the aim it seems to have failed spectacularly!

(One long thread in the bug section is far more likely to be useful to someone trying to resolve the issue than lots of separate threads here. In particular it helps pull together which wheels/platforms are affected.)

  • Same for me. Was doing tt on spain and noticed all the things you said. On kerbs, crashing against walls, cars, etc.

  • Since patch1.10, some very hard knocks can be felt in the steering. The term "pothole" fits very well. I have set the FFB rather weakly to protect my steering wheel, but the shocks still feel very hard.
