Hate F1 Life and can't stand the popups either. Incredibly annoying. I don't need to be reminded every 5 minutes that I've got "tokens" for something I don't use, let alone if I actually used it.
The only "collectibles feature" I've liked in a racing game was the museum cards in Gran Turismo 5. If there needs to be such a thing to generate extra income (like EA need it...), this would be fun. You'd unlock packs in Podium Pass (again, meh but I'm trying to work with the game design here) or buy extras in the shop. They'd have historic photos from F1 (drivers, teams, historic moments, etc.) with little facts and biographies. You could swap cards with friends or discard unwanted ones for a small amount of pitcoins in return. Each card could have a value and there could be a separate Top Trumps game you could play in multiplayer lobbies while you're waiting for the game to connect. 😉 Just something based around the sport and add an extra dimension to the game, rather than "here's a lamp".

@DinaatioI'm not saying an Ultimate Team thing, screw that. Just cards like in GT5. And as I said in my message "if there needs to be such a thing" and proposing, off the top of my head, something better than lamps and sofas. It shows how corporate it's become that the only idea they could come up with was lamps and sofas, because that's all they can think about. They know nothing about the sport itself.
I rather there was NOTHING like this. Just racing.- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend
In defence off super cars and hot laps. During my team I always go the pre race challenges. And it’s the only time I drive them… But gotta say I’m absolutely loving the drifting ones. Have no idea if I’m any good.. normally get 15000-20000.. Using a pad without drift assist and in cockpit (POV makes it easier as I can hold a single drift in real life) and as I use auto gears I don’t switch to manual. So adds to difficulty as it’s like feathering a hair trigger. If there were actually TT drift I think I would actually put some effort into getting good and for the first time start a hot lap from the main menu.

F1 Life and Supercars are just gimmicks with no long term value. I haven't bothered with either of them. The long term value lies in the racing.
My wish list:
Great handling (I like it this year just fix the unpredictable torque issues with low gears....my main gripe with this game)
Intelligent AI (they are a bit clumsy and lack awareness of the player too often)
AI that has tire temps and wear like the player.
AI that is not OP on corner exits.
All tracks up to date (More LiDAR scanned like Australia would be awesome)
More consistent car model updates
Improved FFB (better indication the rear is losing grip would be great)
Dump the fluff and focus on what contributes to making this game great.
