In defence off super cars and hot laps. During my team I always go the pre race challenges. And it’s the only time I drive them… But gotta say I’m absolutely loving the drifting ones. Have no idea if I’m any good.. normally get 15000-20000.. Using a pad without drift assist and in cockpit (POV makes it easier as I can hold a single drift in real life) and as I use auto gears I don’t switch to manual. So adds to difficulty as it’s like feathering a hair trigger. If there were actually TT drift I think I would actually put some effort into getting good and for the first time start a hot lap from the main menu.
F1 Life and Supercars are just gimmicks with no long term value. I haven't bothered with either of them. The long term value lies in the racing.
My wish list:
Great handling (I like it this year just fix the unpredictable torque issues with low gears....my main gripe with this game)
Intelligent AI (they are a bit clumsy and lack awareness of the player too often)
AI that has tire temps and wear like the player.
AI that is not OP on corner exits.
All tracks up to date (More LiDAR scanned like Australia would be awesome)
More consistent car model updates
Improved FFB (better indication the rear is losing grip would be great)
Dump the fluff and focus on what contributes to making this game great.

- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Hansenhaus The ai in F1 cm games has always been decent. Well far far better than all other racing games. I think the issue this year isn’t so much that it’s dumb. But in their attempt to make the ai this year more racey and aggressive. It caused massive the ai on ai carnage to frequently early in the games life I was seeing 5+ cars crashing out per race. So then came patch after patch to nerf and change ai behaviour. Which as resulted in the ai not knowing what action to consistently take given various situations. It’s a shame I loved the ai when game first launched. But like I say. I’m a gamer not a sim racer.

I've yet to try driving a supercar at all in the game. Mostly as I've not had anything like enough time to do the F1 car driving I'd want to anyway, but partly as I don't particularly want to do anything to encourage the idea. I have placed a few of the cars round my 'house' though, and did spend 5-10 minutes adjusting the interior décor choices. I guess it's more interesting as a menu background than the last game as a result. The thing that to me is a notable improvement in the menu area though is the music we have this year 👍.

Vibration upon losing rear traction is a great idea, but we can only dream can't we..! Highly doubtful they will implment that or even fix the game for that matter
