How to get a good start off the line?

Hi guys,I've been racing a long time but this game is crazy on the starts,I'm on the edge of traction with a good reaction time yet there are guys getting a much better start then me,i don't use TC so is this an advantage that TC users have or am i doing something wrong?

I seen others are on about a low rev, somewhere around 9000 rpm is optimal.

This was what works for me, I take off when it's around there. Never above 10K

  • Yea I've been doing 10k but people just rocket last me at the start,I've never had this problem which is why I assumed it was TC related

hold throttle line half way between p and h✔️

    Overtake on✔️

    On diff 65 or 70✔️

Short shift out of the hole✔️

    Wave bye bye✔️

There is no point in having overtake on, as it doesnt kick in until 4th gear. But i will give your other points a try. I think my main problem is that fource feedback doesn’t seem to be active for a few seconds at the start.

@ajobling1983 Yeah the FF not being active until after about 2 seconds is a real bummer and I can't count how many times I had to restart the session because of it. What's even more mind-bloggin about the decision is that if you restart the session the FF immediately kick-in and there are no issues, so why Codemasters decided to go with this direction is beyond me, sincerely. It doesn't make any sense to remove control from the user, and what's worse is that such a control is usually removed at times when it's needed most (as when coming out of the menu).
