Going by current threads I think many probably haven't spotted how you can quote another post. To do this you have to click reply on a post, and then on the view where you type the message there is a Quote option to the top-right. If you click on this then the post you replied to will be inserted. Hopefully this helps 🙂.
Not sure why this forum doesn't have a simple Quote button on each message like basically every other forum I've ever used though.

Agree. The CM forum was excellent. I liked the different reactions we could give, and you had a notifications and activity centre, all of which appear to be missing here; it was nice that we could navigate from a single place, where followed posts and/or your comments had reactions or replies, and easily see all the posts I had created or commented in.
My main gripe with the CM Forum was we (or at least I) couldn’t move between thread replies pages from the bottom, which thankfully is present here.
I suspect the bits missing I’ve listed on this forum will grate on me (and others coming from the CM Forum) soon enough.

You actually can, but thanks to some updates to the forum platform, the styling has broken and that menu has become partly invisible 😅
The main thing I miss is the notification bell at the top, giving me a quick way to see and jump to replies I may be most interested in.
Jumping to unread content in threads also doesn't work for me on my (Android) phone, although it does on the two PCs I've tried. Using Chrome on all three.
Personally I'm in trouble with email notifications, I would like to be notified when I subscribe a thread but I cannot make it to work properly.
I would like an immediate email but only for the first reply until I visit the thread, while currently I'm gettings tons of email ☹️
For what I can understand it should be possible, in this case I miss something, or simply it's my misunderstading. Anyone could help?
My settings are:
- For my forum subscriptions, notify me for --> Only the first post on each topic or Use Default (Only the first post on each topic)
I'm just going to bump this as I've seen several posts today where quoting what was being referred to would have made is much clearer what was meant.
