Was seriously thinking about getting a dual sense edge. As I need a new pad and with the different stick lengths will make steering more precise. But at a cost around £210. It’s abit pricey especially as a new thrustmaster wheel (not sure which model) is £300 I don’t know what to do…. Wonder if @DavidG53 would let me use his Thrustmaster discount card 😁😂😎

Bite the bullet and get a wheel if you're going to spend wedge to play racing games. Far more enjoyable. But you'll have to shell out for a stand and a seat but I'll never go back to pad for racing, it's so clunky with limited consistency

@TotosHeadphones This is what I was thinking. If I went for an entry level wheel. I don’t need worry to much about getting a high end frame and seat. Get a cheaper stand just to house the wheel and pedals. As for seat. I got a proper all singing all dancing lazy boy type armchair it adjusts in every possible way including head rest. Plus it’s super comfy

@ScarDuck14If you like to play shooters then go for the controller. A friend of mine is loving his and he is 100% into Apex, CoD and etc...

If not, the wheel. I don't know the prices over there but the Logitech is cheaper overhere. "Entry level-wise" (sorry for that haha) Logitech delivers almost the same FFB and has a better finish.

Anyway, plenty of opinions but if you go for a wheel make sure it's a decent stand and choose your seat wisely e.g do you prefer to upright or reclined? A normal office chair with the wheels removed may be fine rather than a £200 gaming chair. Plenty of options out there for cheap or expensive solutions.

Duck, I don't think a beefed up dual sense edge priced as it is justifies the money just to play F1. And how many other good or at least reasonably well racing titles you play that could benefit from a better controller? As @dancrodrigues said, unless you have other titles that could also offer a better experience on the pricey pad, I'd go with a wheel.

Don't ask a hammer to do a screwdriver job. Even the fanciest of hammers is still a hammer.

Although as EA are awesome. And I’m by far their bestest champion ever. I’m sure when I wake up on my birthday. There will be a state off the art All singing all dancing sim rig with a big bow and a card from EA😎

@ScarDuck14 If you're going with Thrustmaster make sure you can upgrade down the road.
You might want an F1 wheel or Load cell pedals for your next Special Day.

I just sit on my sofa when using my wheel, with a cushion behind me so I'm fairly upright. Not exactly a proper sim rig I know 🙂.
The DualSense Edge is pricey but will still be cheaper than a wheel, particularly once a stand is factored in too (guessing you play in your lounge like I do @ScarDuck14 , rather than somewhere with a desk?) Personally I'd still suggest going for a wheel given how much time you spend on the F1 games though. I'm sure you'd ultimately enjoy it more.

If it works, it works! Convenience and space is also part of the decision making. I use a gaming rocking chair. Folds up and is hidden away. My wife wouldn't be too happy if I had a full rig
