Hello everyone,League racers on PC were in a state of shock yesterday realizing that Origin & Steam were split into 2 plattforms.Currently we (as league organizers) don't really know what to do regarding our upcoming season since we wouldn't be very comfortable with splitting our PC community into 2 parts.Is it possible to somehow give us some information on when we can expect crossplay to go live?I don't expect an exact release date here, but knowing if we're talking about crossplay release in a month or in 6 months is a massive difference that we really would like to know.Right now we still have hope for a crossplay introduction until the start of our season and we might be able to start a bit later. If we'd get to know that crossplay will take at least 3-4 more months we have no options but to split our leagues into Steam/Origin plattforms.Due to that I'd really be happy to get some information here to enable us to plan our upcoming season carefully.Hope to get some feedback here from EA/CM. As mentioned before, no need to give us a date here. We just need some kind of timeframe to allow us planning the future. If you tell me it's probably between 3-6 months until release, that's totally fine and an information we can work with.Looking forward to feedback.Best regards,Mister Johnny

I can only repeat Mister JohnnyIt was a shock for the entire league racing Community and even casual players.Telling us that we can't play together with different launchers on PC is something no one could have expected. The Steam website already said that you need a third party (EA account). We even had to register ourselves on Origin when starting the game on Steam (except those with beta access).Now friends and league racers can't play together after buying the game. I guess the majority bought the game on steam, but a lot of people probably also play the game on Origin because of game keys and EA Play Pro that are now excluded.Giving an approximate time frame would be fantastic to organise our leagues. The timely outcome can't be that we play separately on PC.

Dear EA,it's a shame that Origin & Steam were Split into two Plattforms. @EA_Kent Maybe you can help the league racing communities on PC by trying to get some information on this topic to ensure a good start to the season for us?Many communities have build around this game and it would be a shame to rip these apart, especially for the smaller leagues which will suffer the most.Hope you're the right person to contact since you seem to have taken over the community management from BarryBL when the move to EA Answers was done.Looking forward to hearing from you.

Dear EA,I have been actively playing the F1 games for 12 years and I am more than disappointed with the decision to release a split between Origin and Steam.I feel excluded and sad as an Origin user since 90% of my friends have the game on Steam.As a loyal customer of EA and Codemasters for years I'm hurt by this a lot.I'd like to ask you to give us an estimation when crossplay between Origin/Steam will be released so I can finally experience the game with my friends and the online community.Best regards,Marcel_El_Hoppo

The decision to split the two communities is absolutely shambolic.I don't run a league but we do have a community of F1 players that're now unable to play with each other due to a monumental screw up. We need some sort of timeline, even if it's within 6 months as suggested. As long as we have some sort of time we can go off, we can work around it the best we can but keeping us in the dark is only going to cause fustration for many.

In which timeframe can we expect crossplay introduction?

Never understood why console players at 60fps want to race against PC players at 150-190fps, thats a serious disadvantage right there. Also the USB wheel communication rate on PC is around 4,000hz vs 120hz on consoles, and thats before we get to the fact 16bit pedals are only supported on PC, consoles can only read 8bit for pedals lol
Let alone before we add in the pc mods/cheats
Hope crossplay is optional and not the default multiplayer setting for consoles

It is optional but also note that current gen. consoles are capable of 120 Hz frame rate.
