zero mechanical grip at the start, as soon as you put the second and third gear on the car you lose it.
not to mention the gearbox curve, third and fourth unusable, otherwise you go to crash ..
not to mention the gulf of difference between those who have traction and those who don't.

@advanceappleDo you use wheel with paddle? The lack of feedbacks is may be the reason why you don't feel the wheelspins which made you lose control.
If you use pad with the rumble trigger, then nothing is at odd with the game in that regard.
It's all about throttle control, you should never just floor it while the tires are not gripping the road.

About the third gear thing, although in the game it could be overly tricky at times, but it wasn't without logical sense.
The cars just generally had too much low-end torque and is really demanding on both your steering and throttle inputs (as well as car setup). Also, sometimes the lack of feedbacks from either the weak trigger rubble from pads or paddles made things more unpredictable.
Though, it's not completely unadaptable, it just takes longer time to get used to.
