I notice the F1 esports tab is not present in F1 22. Is the series finished? Is Jarno, Marcel, Brendon etc out of work? Maybe it was a flop. Anyone got any info?.EDIT: I thank the Gods of Death and Life for this respite, even it is to be only temporary.

To be honest, most of the esorts players are young lads probably 18-22 years old. How come there is no 30 40 50 60 70 80 year olds in it? Older people are playing these games for decades. When I and many others started gaming these young lads parents weren't even born.

They are trying to have it like real F1 minus Lewis, Sebastian, Fernando etc. I'd be very suspicious of it.
Whatever you think about about the new F1 Life tab, at least its a feature we all can get a use out of it.

The F1 esports tab? Ahh I rather have my couches and lamps. How come there is no toaster available?
Maybe in the future, one can only hope.

@ALittleTiger7 There is some TT times that are like 10 seconds ahead of their best lap. Last video Jarno was beating WR at all tracks in wet conditions and in Bahrain the best lap was a 1:31.034, 6 seconds off the best lap time in dry conditions. So yeah that's definitely cheats.

Yes, there are some TT times that are questionable but here is an example of what I'm on about. This FACTUAL event took place during the F1 2020 game/season.

Marcel Keifer was 3 thousandths of a second ahead of Jarno Opmeer in the Austria TT board.

Jarno eventually beat Marcel by a further 2 thousanths of a second. Jarno said "easy peesy there is more in it", indicating that there is more time to be gained.

When Jarno showed the global leaderboard he was 7th and Marcel was 8th. Jarno started muttering about the others above him were cheaters and that the TT boards were a mess.

The player that was directly above Jarno was 1 hundredth of a second quicker.

@ALittleTiger7 At the end of the day TT times mean nothing. There is so much more to take into account, like race craft, managing ers, tyres…. So much more than TT where conditions are always perfect with no tyre temps.

Im not saying your wrong in terms of how other people can brake though into e-sports, there are so many people competing for limited opportunities, but more to take into account than times on TT.

To me it looks like a heap of rich spoilt brats that doesn't appreciate the good quality STUFF that they have, and most likely a drain on their parents/guardians finances.

Modestro Mena WON the last round of PS challegers and 2 races in F3 in PSGL or WOR cant remember which off the top of my head.
He was on a G29!
Its about talent not equipment.
Equipment only adds consistency imo
Perfect example is Mena didnt get out of challengers because he had problems with his pedals, a known weak spot as they get dirty easily and missed 2 races.

I hope your friend get his pedals fixed. Its very important to look after your STUFF.
This is what I'm at.
1. I use a broken controller.
2. The throttle trigger is a mess, have to saturate and linerate to have anything in it.
3. I have to use auto gears.
4. I can't steer properly, the analouge is bit messed up.
5. We have high brake assist and abs on.
6. We are within 2.5 seconds of Brendon's and esports players TT DRY records.
If I got into Jarno's rig, in your opinion, will I beat him?
