Depends how you play.
I play on Xbox One and I only play My Team and near full assists (not steering, DRS or ERS) and I find the game very fun and enjoyable. The AI for me is 73 at most circuits (Monaco, Singapore and Azerbaijan) seem to be 68 and the AI is roughly the same in wet and dry. The AI is a bit more creative with tyre choices and pit strategy but still not as much as you’d think they should be.
The game occasionally fails to auto-save, so I have to restart the console and redo a session or factory period. The AI seems to have more grip out of slow corners but the straight line speed advantage in my games no longer exists.
Overall, the game is currently very satisfying to me. I’d like them to add a few options to protect against future patch foul ups (like custom weather in My Team and/or the ability to change AI mid session) and I still get driver transfers mid season that make no sense to me (I started a new game after a corrupted save so my next first season transfer is in a race’s time so we’ll se what happens) but otherwise I can say I’m pleased.
Not saying the game is perfect in my mind, lot’s of things I could add that are more quality of life things, but I’m quite happy.
It’s playable but if you want enjoyable I recommend Grid Legends 😀
