I was thinking about this today as the PS4 edition is now half price. With the state that it's in currently I'd rather drop £30 for it rather than the £60RRP. I'm a little tempted
I think the game is playable/enjoyable since they've fixed the AI traction after slow corners - and made everyone change their race setups hehe
AI inconsistency across tracks? An absolut classic. Simple to solve: adjust it. There's at least 2 or 3 ways to find the suitable AI. "I use 110 in X track and I don't wanna use 90 in Y track", well...
Over/Under fueling, handling model, traction, tyre allocation and etc are simple to solve by learning how it's been working.
There's two points that need attention:
1. AI aggressiveness: it takes more caution from you when overtaking but it seems to be adjusted in the next patch, hopefully next monday.
2. AI super laps towards the end of the race. I don't feel it but @ScarDuck14 (and many others) does and I take his insight into consideration.
What I feel the most it that many are saying of going back to F1 2021. Same time last year (in another place) we were talking of going back to F1 2020 and then F1 2019... I mean, it takes a toll to release a game every year. Could've let F1 Life aside and focus on the game itself? For sure but here we tend to be more race focused than the large majority of players. And the large majority of players make more money than we do.
It's a game (it's not a simulator), it's supposed to be fun, you kill your fun by not adjusting your experience.
@TotosHeadphones Overall I'm liking it more than F1 2021 in the same time last year and I think 50% off is a good offer.
(I wouldnt go for the Champions Edition unless it's mandatory for you to race with the Icons)

I feel for me the ai level across tracks is miles better than it was in 21
- 3 years ago@Dan78loki For me is the other way around. To me F1 21 AI varied from 95 to 98, now it's between 75 and 85. Funny isnt?
Each player has an experience. That's why I say to one adjust your experience to have fun in your way.
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@dancrodrigues It’s the main thing that aggravates me. Which then annoys me more that I’ve let something on the internet get to me.
It’s a game it’s sold as a game with a age rating off 3+ and it’s been common knowledge ever since codies first f1 game that it’s a simcade by design. Then there’s more clues with the simplified and limited setup options and the difficulty levels ranging from a 3 year old could pick up and play to even Jarno gets dominated out with off slow corners.
But still Elitists flame that it’s a in realistic sim and whinge they couldnt beat a TT lap by someone who had ABS.
Not to mention any suggestion off helping casual pad users get more out off the game and they go mental over reducing the skill gap.
Funny how the top elite drivers don’t feel threatened by reducing the skill gap. Maybe it’s because elite drivers adapt and overcome.

Got to say that replying to you now made remember the TC hard times pad users have and I forgot to say that where I wrote those points of attention to me. It's been a roller coaster of emotions to change TC from MED to OFF with a pedal, I wonder with a controller. A smoother learning curve would be very much welcomed. You said Grid Legends has some 5ish degrees for TC, right?
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@dancrodrigues We’ll always looking to help improve fellow padders gaming fun time.. CM have received a awesome solution to look into that would help on so many levels by someone all knowing😀 But I’m not sure if it can be used in this game as Im not coder/programmer: if it can would really really help

@ScarDuck14 I think the age range is more about levels of profanity and violence rather than whether it's a recommended age from when a person can play! You must be in a really bad mood 😃
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@TotosHeadphones Was to point out games have age ratings. And this one is safe for screaming tantrums feet stamping toddlers that have yet to grasp the concept of it’s not all about them and sharing is caring 😀

@dancrodrigues
To keep it short.
On PC with mods, yes for certain.
On console, eh...just play F1 2020, at least it won't be break by another patch or something.- AEF2513 years agoSeasoned Ace
Regarding the AI consistency when I first tried the game, using all assists but steering and ERS/DRS, I found 75 to be the right AI at all tracks. One patch dropped it to 70 but was still consistent at all tracks wet and dry. Then a patch made that wrong in the wet and off in Monaco and Singapore.
At present, on Xbox One, 73 seems to be the AI wet or dry except at Monaco where 65 seems to be the number. I have not raced Singapore since the new patch nor Azerbaijan which was fine in the dry but not the wet previously.
Given the use of Traction Control, Auto gears, and Auto Braking, and using the games suggested default setup, I should be fairly consistent compared to the AI,
I just wish the GP mode AI was the same as the My Team AI so I can set it without the issue of car development clouding the calculation.
