@i2MatthewThis has been a issue on pc and has been fixed. Apparently didn’t effect consoles: and I’m not saying your wrong. But occasionally I try 60fps and I miss all my marks and crash as I can’t get used to the lower frame rates.
I have found when using 120fps that turning off tv display settings as graduation, peak luminance local dimming noticeably improves on track gameplay.

Sony did eventually admit that using 120fps with some tvs caused increased latency. Not because said TV’s caused the problem. Just different manufacturers use different display software. Which they said was fixed. But they said rest mode bug was also fixed but the issue still exists

In Time Trial, I uncapped my framerate and I was all over the place, everything felt slippery and I kind of understood why a lot of people could say they have traction issues... However, after capping my framerate to 61 (yes, specifically 61, as 60 had potentially slightly lower effect) everything felt VERY grippy, I could ride kerbs much more and I was a lot more confident.
I am not sure what is going on with the physics for this game, but it could be a case where running lower framerate can still give you an advantage in a way... Even though this was supposedly "fixed".- Nuvolarix3 years agoSeasoned Ace
What do eSports guys say about it?
In any case, a console check would be useful IMHO, if not already done by the devs
