Are you absolutely certain you're driving consistently enough to tell the difference after having to take the time to switch modes? I remember when I tried to look at the same at Monza I didn't find this easy, but odds are of course you're a far better and more consistent driver than me. Maybe you could post some video clips to try to prove your point?
I never saw any official info. from Codemasters on whether the game software meant this fps issue, which definitely present on PC, affected consoles or not. The patch to resolve it only mentioned PC which gave the impression that only a PC issue was addressed but sadly that doesn't mean for certain that something similar but less pronounced didn't exist on consoles.
(For what it's worth I play at 120 Hz on PS5 but I'm just getting on with this rather than spending time looking for differences now.)

I would suggest you to open a topic in the bug section, as the others said it has been fixed on PC but we are not sure if it has been investigated in console as well, perhaps @EA_Kent may help us to better understand.
