Couple of resources for you people to try;
Driver Cleaner (Logitech) (Dropbox)
GHub (older, don't update) (Logitech) (Dropbox) AFAIK this is the last version for Windows 7 or Windows 8, so maybe installing and running as Windows 7 compatibility mode may be useful?
It seems the G923 firmware update is offered only via GHub if required, so you could install the newest, update the firmware then downgrade GHub. Or YMMV, so note the firmware and test either way. I believe the firmware will be a one way shot, so be aware you can't revert if you take it.
