My solution is to either do the quick practice, or set the AI 10 lower as it's clearly way too difficult.
Yet another workaround, yes, but I can continue with my life after that.
Still don't understand why data can't be gathered from just doing normal race runs or whatever type of run - just let me do a full tank race stint and take data from there. But clearly something this "advanced" will never happen.
The programs need a rethink, significantly higher fuel and the laptime targets way lower, dunno who decides the goals for the programs each year but they keep missing it completely, rather have it too easy than too hard, people will lower it anyway if they want to get 100% resource points so there is no sense trying to find "really challenging balance"
- ScarDuck144 years agoLegend@Meza994 im one off those that lower it. Well at least I am as a newcomer in my team. Just so I can get a few decent upgrades. So I lower it to 60. That way I can also pass the every program first try thus also saving wear. Then for race bump it up to 90 But ai at Bahrain this year are really quick compared to last year. But at Saudi and Australia and Imola although the ai have all increased performance compared to me as my parts keep failing. They arnt as quick - BinkyStrider4 years agoSeasoned AdventurerHow it should have been done is the mini games such as race pace, quali pace, etc shouldn't be available until Free Practise 2, 3. Also the track acclimatization should be only be available in FP 1 and not until you have completed a set of free laps. Say your race engineer tells you to get at least ten laps in so they can look at the data. Then the mini game difficulty is based on your input that is compared to current data + 10%. So you will need to push. The ai should set a delta based of each lap. If you complete Bahrain in 1.37 the next delta is 1.36 and so on until you can't find any more pace either with setups. Then the track acclimatization set's a delta based on your top score (of course there would be at the very least a decent delta) but achievable even though not acceptable to unlock FP2. So the mini games are also set to the players ability even if ai is on 110. Of course the ai will destroy you in Quali, but then it would be all the more realistic for beginning teams in My Team to actually really be at the bottom. Where they should be. To join a team in career mode should also be based on your pace in F2. if you say skip that and drive for a mid to top end team, and can't keep up with the expected pace they require they should demote you immediately to another team. In the old games you had to "prove" yourself with one of the 3 bottom teams (I usually chose Williams for my first season) but it's all too easy to cheat now, back then you had to beat the game, now you can cheat the game. - ScarDuck144 years agoLegend@BinkyStrider even though it does t matter how you do it, I try and do it proper. Tyre, fuel, ers and track acclimatisation I do in fp1… Race in fp2 and qualifying either fp2 or 3 unless there’s a sprint race.

- Meza9944 years agoSeasoned Ace@ScarDuck14Its totally fine to lower it IMO, what i was trying to say is its no use making the programs extra hard because as long as people CAN lower the difficulty they will if they want to get perfect results - done it myself - so just save the work time and do easier targets which can be too easy from the get go Dont ask me about the AI.. All the reports seem so weird, no logic behind it, well one logic is there but i need to know more about on what tracks the AI are so op..
