Multiplayer - Please wait

My guess is if you waited long enough it would probably eventually progress but who knows.

Sadly multiplayer performance is poor, and players on all platforms can have similar types of issues. I once tried to do a weekly event race and after waiting over 15 minutes stuck at one point in the race start sequence it did eventually start (on PS5). I left it open while I did something else as it was the latest race in the weekend I was going to have any chance of competing in.

I wish I could say something more positive but the multiplayer aspect of the game really does need serious attention, as it could be great it if just worked as it should.

I reported this problem many months ago. EA just doesn't care about fixing it. 

If this happens to you I'm begging you. Just turn off the game as soon as you see it happen. If you keep the game in the loading screen, you are blocking 19 other drivers from playing the game.

I think he is as there is another screen that shows ALL the players in the lobby and some have the loading icon running.

Black Screen=you're the problem

Lobby Screen=someone else is

Ive been in the loading screen and had to wait till the RIGHT person left for the game to advance.

Appears to be connection related.
