Multiplayer suggestions F1 22

Good day.

As a league organizer, I would like to suggest some "improvments" to the multyplayer lobby.

1. Add an icon that shows the user's controller in the lobby (controller or steering wheel)

2. Allow Qualifying in multiplayer even if there is only one person in the lobby

3. The tyre choice before races is fixed for everyone so I think it is useless to have a loading screen at the beginning of the session.

4. Ghosting. There should be 2 options in the setting. One option for lapped cars, the other one for the other conditions (like incidents or spinning or danger). The lapped cars shouldn't become ghost otherwise they will never move aside to let the other pass trough.

In case I'll have more suggestion I'll edit this post.

If someone else have more suggestions, please feel free to comment this post.

  • @mythsalvatore Just some feedback on your points
    1) what benefit would this provide apart from knowing who is using what
    2) do you mean like they do for daily races in GT7 where you can set a time before the race starts
    3) I thought it was only fixed for those in the top 10 (assuming you have 11+ drivers)
    4) I think the lapped cars should be ghosted because if you’re a good racer in a lobby of noobs it’s only going to end badly

I think there should be an option after the race to choose the DOTD (driver of the day) by selecting a racer from the list or the game picking 3 drivers
  • 2) I think he means so if you have nobody else to practice with you can simulate the actual qualifying conditions (gp mode has more grip most of the time, so does time trial) to better understand setups
    3) Im pretty sure its for when you load in when it gives you the tyre allocation it is quite useless because nobody can choose another option

just answering some of the questions 🙂 gonna add some of my suggestions after.

  • @Cpayne32 thanks for the reply, i really appreciate your feedback.

I have a league of 20 drivers (me included) and is for wheel users only so here there is my suggestion for the point 1. If you think, the game already recognize what kind of controller you're using, adding the icon in the waiting lobby is a plus.

Regarding the point 2, sometimes happen that my team mate can't try with me so having the qualifying session open to one person helps to see the real pace you have because Grand Prix week end or time trials have different settings and also in GP mode there are the other cars that you can't ghost.

And here we jump to point 4. Ghosting for lapped cars. Our league tries to make it as realistic as possible. So a lapped car can cause you a problem (see Ocon with Verstappen in Brazil couple of years ago) I understand that in public lobby is needed.

About point 3, my bad, i didn't specify that I was talking about the loading screen. Also from this year there is free choice of tyre at the start of the race.
  • @Cpayne32 I agree with you, we should choose the Driver of the day at the end of the race from a selection of 3 drivers.

Number 1 sounds like the best way of getting people to kick whoever happens to drive on the controller type you don't like. It wouldn't help the majority of the races, and it could generally only cause trouble, is the way I see it...
