No ability to control weather in single-player career/my team

Product: F1 22
Platform:PC
Summarize your bug This is more of a suggestion than a bug. Can we get the ability to slightly control the weather when in career/my team mode? 7 out of my last 12 races have been full rain. Not sure if having full length races effects the percentage of rain appearing. Wet races are fun every once in a while, but I feel like they have become MUCH more common compared to F1 19/20/21. Other than that, its a great game that I'm enjoying, especially in VR.
Which area is the bug/glitch in? My Team
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start Career/My Team mode with full length races and see how many ones with rain you get.
What happens when the bug occurs? Sadness that I cant go all out in the race.
What do you expect to see? An option in the menu to select the chance of rain during races. Option could could be like the other ones with a reduced/default/increased format.

  • sorry man but this is the beauty of career mode/My team. The career mode is a "copy" from real life and in real life you can change the weather, i think that 100% races have a bigger chance since they are longer, i dont know if its anything else, but try running some 50%

I think this is just one of those things where you're getting unlucky with the numbers. In F1 2021, my partner and I were playing co-op career while they were trying to learn the game and it was just wet race, after wet race, after wet race. It drove them nuts because all they wanted was a dry race to continue to learn on. Then we got a massive dry streak and didn't see a wet race for nearly two seasons.

On the flip side, I don't think we're yet to see a full wet race in F1 22, with nothing more than some changeable conditions and a quick stint of intermediate tires. Had a wet qualifying session and some wet practice sessions though.

There is an argument here that maybe the game should bias the weather more (if you've seen some wet weather, reduce the chance of seeing it again for a while, and vice versa), but I have the feeling it'll just make the game feel super predictable ("We haven't seen rain for three races, the next one will almost definitely be wet").
