It feels like my fame stopped having any rain after I first changed weather setting to Approximate. I have started multiple saves at this point and haven’t seen rain at all for maybe the past 2 months of daily play.
I didn’t think about it but I feel like the issue started when I started skipping all the Hot Laps as I got bored of doing them.

I am also skipping Pirelli challenges as they are boring.
But I still have rain in some sessions.
What platform are you on?

Hmmm, that's an interesting point. We're also running approximate weather in our co-op career too and haven't seen any rain for nearly two whole seasons now. Might try changing it to perfect and seeing if that fixes the problem (not sure if I can change it mid co-op career, so might have to start again first and play for a season or so).
I’m playing on PS5 personally. I haven’t attempted to change settings back to Perfect or actually do the hot laps again yet to see if anything fixes the issue. But from what I’ve seen so far in others, it’s not version specific as seen those on PC, PlayStation and Xbox having the same issue.
This issue still isn't on the community issues list, so at this point I doubt we'll be seeing it being addressed any time soon, however...

It took a while, but I can confirm the issue appears to be with the 'approximate' weather setting. Having started a second co-op career and left the weather on perfect, throughout our first season, we've been seeing a mixture of practice/qualifying/race sessions with wet weather appearing (intermediate/full wet/changing conditions).
Also, as a side note, while 'approximate' appears to be broken in some way, 'perfect' seems to be, well, not perfect at all. I have to assume the definitions of these two options are:
- Approximate: The weather report is a best guess and may or may not be correct. If it says it's going to rain, it might rain, or it might not, and if it does, the timing of its arrival is may be incorrect.
- Perfect: If it says it's going to rain, it's going to rain. And the arrival time of the rain is always accurate.
But from my experience 'perfect' acts more like my definition of 'approximate'. In one race at Austria in particular, intermediate conditions were forecast for the race. Sitting on starting grid, looking at the strategy screen, the timeline for the weather was: SUNNY | CLOUDY | CLOUDY | CLOUDY | LIGHT RAIN (So light rain starting in around 25 minutes into a 50% race). So, with the weather being set to 'perfect', you'd think running long on hard tires would be the way to go, but it actually started raining about 3 laps in, with the DRS being disabled around lap 8.

For anyone wondering about this in the future, you can change this mid career, as long as your settings mode is set to 'expert' and not 'standard' or 'casual'. You have to do it between races weekends though. Having said that, I haven't had time to test changing the setting mid season to see if it fixes the original issue. But maybe someone on this thread wants to try it.
I'd like to bump this:
- Platform: PC (Through EA App)
- Summary of issue: No rain in Career Mode in races (appears occasionally in driving challenges)
- Which area is the bug/glitch in? Weather
- How can we find the bug ourselves? Just start career mode. I started with weather on accurate, changed it to approximate at different times
- What happens when the bug occurs? Chance of rain never goes above 4% for a race weekend. I'm 5 seasons in and have never had a wet session. The supercar challenges have rain on occasion but I'd like it in the actual races.
- What do you expect to see? Well...rain

Have you started a new MT save after patch 1.12 or is it an old save?
Some gamers complained about fuel calculations even when issue was fixed earlier. It looks like new save may resolve this problem.
I started new MT and DC after patch 1.10 released, with Weather set to Approximate, and I already had few mixed or wet sessions after 11 GPs, even full wet races.

Just FYI, I have just had two races with rain, with Weather set to Approximate.
Hungary in DC: on Interns from start, dried up for slicks around lap 26.
Hungary in MT: drizzle started about 5 laps in, then heavy rain around lap 18, then light rain around lap 25.
No changes to saved game, both careers started after patch 1.10.
So it seems working fine for me.

Where are the tires?
They use multiple Mediums and hard tires in reallife...i have only one Set of both but...how unlogic...2 stets Medium in Sprint races
