1) It's a bug for the spectator mode. They shift normally.
2) It is pure skill, very precise braking, lots of minimum speed, taking the apex at higher gear, throttle input in higher gear is more stable.

- QUALLENFISCH3 years agoNew Traveler@peter75pc It is also a glitch of the game. F122 is overpowered on higher gears, they do it on purpose. There are several youtube videos available explaining that. The most interesting thing is to compare onboards of real life Formula 1 with onboards of F122. Monza chicane real life 2nd gear, F122 3rd gear. Try it out, you will gain time

In this game, you don't seem to need use lower gears for getting rotation that much, the difference of rotation doesn't seem to be that big between the gears. I actually find it easier to use the higher gears, as I can be then more agressive with the throttle on the corner exists. I try to use as high gears as possible, but always prepared to use a lower gear temporarily if I don't succeed with the braking and corner entry well enough.
Anyway, the sound / rev problem in the eSport was super annoying and embarrassing. There was sound issues already last year (and I guess always, according to some?) and not get that fixed is just bad... and it wasn't the only clear bug either (winner starting to drop in results right after crossing line without a reason... really embarrasing).- BadMayh3m3 years agoSeasoned Ace
