Oculus Quest 2 fix F1 2022
Ok, so I’ve been tearing my hair out for weeks trying to get the game to work on my Quest, so I hope this helps. firstly, I stopped using Virtual Desktop. I ran a benchmark test in game and it was g...
All I’m doing is sharing what worked for me. I’ve literally spent days trying to get it to work and that’s what worked for me. I know everyone will have different problems, but hopefully this helps someone.
It is pretty bad how complicated it is to set up though, hopefully there will be a future fix.
@Taylor85I'm not dismissing your experience, nor saying that what you did doesn't work. I'm just pointing out that the issue talked about by MuradinB (that has nothing to do with performance per se but it's strictly tied to the camera implementation) is not something tied to hardware/software individual setups, but it's something tied to how the camera itself works in VR in the game. There's sadly nothing one can do about that, as only the devs can make changes to it.
Yes, as has been said before, I'm glad you got it working for you, but you cannot fix the camera issue, it isn't possible for it to be fixed from a user perspective, it has to be fixed by the devs. I'm glad you got it working to an acceptable level and you're enjoying it, but let's not go around saying the issues are fixed and let CM off the hook, because they are not.
there is a big differenc in what GPU you are using.
nVidia + Quest2/Rift in F1 is bad as hell.
AMD 6xxx + Oculus is fine.
I compare performance on RX6800, 2080ti and 3090.
2080ti is undriveable ( 72fps on Low settings)
3090 is okish with medium setting and 72fps
RX6800 90fps with everthing on high.
This is rubbish.
CM , support nVidia + Oculus !!!!
What version of AMD GPU drivers, pls?
