Peak nit problem

hi so i had the game up and running and out of no where the peak nit adjustment box pops up on my screen so it tells u to adjust the left side to match the right side so i did it wish i didnt!!! but all of a sudden everything got reall white and bright but the box closed and was gone..  So i found the peak nit adj. setting under graphics settings and played with it nothing changed so as it is now its so bright i can not see words or lines on the track. I feel like i need a gamma correction which is next problem the gamma slider under graphics wont move !!! i can not change the gamma !!!! any one have any idea i uninstalled the game 2 times and no change when i first installed it the game was perfect till that box popped open please help!!!

  • Peak nit is relevant when HDR is use, and gamma is when it's not. My guess is you have HDR on when you don't want it to be...

  • @9535f1d398bde7d6 Need a little more? Is it F1 22 your playing? I ask cause on PS5 you don’t get to adjust the setting. So what platform are you playing on.

To adjust gamma you need to turn off the HDR setting.

  • I am sorry i forgot to say the os i was using i play on my computer and yes i am playing f1 22 so when the box popped up and i moved the slider yes i could the color on the left getting lighter and darker and i matched the left side with the right side then when i pressed ok the whole game got like super bright !!! its terrible so now under settings there is a peak nit option but when i play with it, it does nothing and then at the top the gamma setting is locked out i cant play with that setting at all, so i checked on my other game f1 2020 and the gamma control works on that one and the peak nit on 2020 when i play with it it makes a change....

  • I have the same issue. If I enable HDR, no matter what NITS setting I use 1-100 it is just washed out in menus and games. I have raised a ticket myself for this and the fact you can't turn HDR on unless you turn it on in windows desktop which should not be the case as all my other games I can turn HDR on just in the game itself without affecting windows.

I have HDR turned off at the moment and just use the gamma setting for that however, I do get the same issue as you in HDR mode.
