Please get rid of stat boosts for F1 23!

Hey @BarryBL you obviously saw our complains over the stat boosts in the old forums and even though you guys maybe made it a bit less broken by allowing the stats to go over 100 but that remains to be seen.

But even then stat boosts are making career modes less realistic together with the engine supplier upgrades making the cars almost 1 second faster than GP mode.

I know where the idea of stat boosts comes from but artificially increasing the gap between top teams drivers and backmarker drivers is the wrong way.

The personell department doesnt need to be deleted, Pitstop training, Focus boosts and simulator work (to increase experience) are good things!

Would still be enough to justify the department and not break the game although im thinking the experience boost from simulator work could be permanent, just +1 every 8th week at level 3 (So Russel would get +~6 for each season at Merc which isnt unrealistic, give him 4 seasons at Merc IRL and he will be giving great feedback no matter the team. +1/12th week at level 2 and +1/17th week at level 1. Im calculating here with 52 weeks per season as even with less happening in the winterbreak etc. it would be better to have all weeks, game can be balanced around having no season breaks except for the summer break. And once we get pre season testing we need the winterbreak in the game anyway😉

Focus boosts just happening frequently, so the drivers focus get increased by 5/10/15 every 4th week so when you trash talk your drivers a lot (or force them to team orders😉) it might not suffice for low level focus boost departments and the drivers focus will go down with time.

Pit stop training probably fine as it is 🙂

Please listen to the community which was very vocal about the stat boosts issue and doesnt want to see super Sainz 🙂

PS.  the addition of a development driver to the personell would probably be good too for all those that dont like to do practice programs. Depending on his level the development driver will get 1/3, 2/3 or all R&D points for practice programs so the player doesnt has to. Should be a high weekly cost though, potentially just adding to the other parts of the department but IMO this should be the case anyway, having 1 on level 3 and the others not at all costing the same as having all 3 on level 3 makes not much sense.. costs for a level 3 dev driver should be minimum of 50k extra.

@Liaveal For F1 22 id like 3. or 1. the most although 7-10 have something very delighting :P
  • @Meza994 Maybe it could be limited to a select few drivers and the perks are connected to IRL events:

Perez - Holds onto tyres for longer

    Verstappen - Wet Weather Driver

Hamilton - ‘Hammer time’ (goes 1 to 2 tenths quicker each lap for 3 laps before a pit stop)

Russell - Quicker at the beginning stages of a season with less developed car.

Could be that it’s not all drivers have specific perks, just certain drivers that have got a reputation for driving styles a traits IRL

@craig8921 I think "hammer time" got massively pushed by the media haha all drivers push before pitting its just a matter of how much tyre is left. Id say Hamilton gets Wet weather (all wets) and definitely Home race bonus.

For Russel your judgement is premature, 2020 he was on fire till the last season, 2021 he was mentally leaving Williams and all Merc powered cars that werent changing engines like underwear struggled at the end of the season.. But yes i definitely agree with the concept of some drivers having perks they are really well known for.

@Meza994 how about „crashes often in the last laps of a championschip“ and „cannot drive in the rain“ for Latifi? 🙂

@v1ness_89 Doesnt get the licensing from Latifi😂

Also we cant claim the cannot drive in the rain, in Spa last year he qualified P12 only 0.3s slower than Leclerc.. Id let him be average in the rain😂

@Liaveal For F1 22: 11. Give me an option to decide whether they should be applied in my career.
    For F1 23: 5.

@Meza994 i see. then hoe about the „rich kid“ trait. if you contract him, you earn 20% more a year or something like this.

… this initially meant as a joke, but thinking about it its not just realistic for latifi, stroll, mazipin, zhou and counting, but also not even a bad trait for the beginning in my team.

@v1ness_89 Pay driver is definitely a perk that would be realistic.. Cant see the drivers liking it though😂

I think this added to the update of driver forms (stats) is what makes career almost unplayable in later seasons. The cars are undriveable and the AI are 2 - 3 seconds ahead.

  • It simple, the don’t care about any problems at all, concerning ps4 games, all they want is for everyone to buy a ps5,well I’ve played PlayStations for over 30 years, but it’s time to call it quits, cos I’m sick of all the BS.🤬🤬
