Hi, maybe someone from EA, like @EA_rephii could give a little feedback or passing the ideea to devs. I usually look to play online and i thought i could give it a try to career mode, i tried it in F1 2021 too, i am in season 1 at Imola and because of the upgrades, the pole lap was already 1 sec faster than in GP mode on the same difficulty. I don't like it too much, by the end of the season i will have a 4-5 seconds faster car compared to GP mode? In my opinion it's too much! I think the setting would be very usefull for those who want to play a career, with driver transfer and etc but they don't want upgrades which changes their cars performance. Let me know what do you think guys, if it's a good ideea or not.

@Hichel18 Yeah, championship mode was nice. That's why i was asking if it's possible to implement only an on/off setting, so everybody could choose what they want. I think it's a lot easier to implement a setting like this on/off than an entire mode.

@c4a0205c834729c8You can’t. You can reduce it. By setting game to expert mode then going to settings and career options. and CE control electronics and whilst it wore out fast in last years game. This year it never wears out so no need to upgrade it. It may fail though but Ive yet to have a CE failure.

@Meza994 But no Appetite to explore that potential. Which is sad as they only really need more depth(Nothing extreme that needs micro managing) and immersion(I see people post they like and they and want that).Must admit I’d prefer better and more variations with the race introsAnd it’s F1 having detailed information on every track. So it points you in the right direction when setting up the car would be nice. And a interactive engineer to help with setups

@ScarDuck14 Agreed except for micro managing the car setup is a must😝I honestly didnt listen to the race intros for a long time haha partly because i dont do career mode seriously and partly because its always the same..We could go on with this list of things that COULD be improved forever haha

@Hempyjr I would say that, while I approve having more options, one of the main features of the career mode is having upgrades and the car grids shake a bit with the performance variance.

Is it too much? by the end of the road yeah, the middle ground is really fine in my opinion. This is why the championship mode we had until F1 2020 was great, we could do standardized championships in a separate slot than grand prix mode and we could race with the original cars without upgrades if we so desire.

@HempyjrIf you're on pc it's easy, you can use CE to freely adjust the rate or completely disable R&D resource gain for both you and and AI. That's what I do during late games where cars are all near max out, I drop the gain to 25% rate and the effect is very significant especially if there's regulation change.

@ScarDuck14 Correct but i want such a feature too.. or at least set it to a real minimum so over the course of a full season there are only tiny changes.. Like 10% resource points gain at most.. But then its my wishful thinking of what the game could be again😂

@ScarDuck14CE ofcourse that it means control electronics, but in the answer above, stands for something else too if you are on PC. It can be used for career mode and it works and you can stop R&D for you and AI or you can set the resource points gain to 25% or 50% and there are small changes like @Meza994 said, but you will be banned from online if you use it in online lobbies 🙂

@Meza994 maybe start off every season cars performance could be nerfed.

Or maybe R&D upgrades can only be used for a set amount off races. Some last longer than others depending on the parts. Once you’ve completed set races for part. You lose it and would require you to upgrade it again if you wanted it.

So over the course off Ten seasons your car performance level will not just increase but decrease during the season: It it was well mapped out where certain upgrades worked better with others. I think it would add a better layer to long term thinking. Rather than just upgrading what’s next without thought.

Would obviously then keep the cars pace in check.

Then You would never have all ai teams in the silly situation off maxing out and being equal performance🤷‍♂️

However proper thought and attention to detail would have to go into this to work and not just scripted. So progression was organic for both Ai and human teams. So won’t make it in the game even if this is the best idea in the world ever.
