Because the information available to me without the HUD is lacking at best, and at worst just wrong. If I could customize what was shown on the wheel, similar to how an actual F1 wheel has multiple screens of information, I would be perfectly happy
if you really want them back you have to head into the settings and configure the OSD (On Screen Display). In Cockpit VR everything is turned off you just have to go back into the settings edit the display panels so they aren't hidden.
Cheers, I can't seem to find one that gives me the information I'm looking for during practice; but I definitely did manage to miss the setting I was looking for every time I checked
When you are on track and go into Settings -> On Screen Display -> OSD Customisation, there is a button to change the layouts for the specific session (race, quali, practice, TT) and inside the practice overlay it show you can enable the widgets you need
I've struggled with the same thing. But every item is just "Hidden" in the OSD customiser. You need to go in and unhide every individual item. Thankfully you CAN unhide them to get that practice programme information.
