Practice programs
Are practice programs supposed to be harder than the actual races? They seem to be near on impossible on any difficulty

I find them overly difficult as well. I'm racing with a controller, dropped down the AI from 95 last year to 80 this year, can't complete them.
However during the race, I qualify top 10 and finish top 5 in the starter car. It doesn't add up IMO.
I’m currently doing qualifying and racing at 80: but doing practice sessions at 60 cause I won’t be denied my resource points.
Its probably by design: in previous years one off the biggest criticisms in modes like my team is maxing out R&D within two to three seasons off a ten season career. Im only guessing but It’s probably done so it takes longer by not be so easy to earn maximum resource points every race
- @ScarDuck14 I don't think is by design to be honest. I believe it might be broken or overlooked scaling with difficulty, as i don't think being in the weakest car on the grid would require you to be 5th fastest to pass a practice programs.
That doesn't really solve the problem since you can still easily get your points through Quick practice. I think the practice sessions are really overly difficult as well btw
- @BoundingSlinky Sure you can try to work around that issue like that but you will be destroying your engine, due to another scaling bug in the game... Practice sessions should be scaled properly to your chosen difficulty and car ability, but i don't think that will ever happen.
I’ve only used practice programs once in last years game. Which resulted in really high wear to all parts compared to actually doing the programs. So always complete programs on track
They Should really consider fixing the scaling properly though, because there is no balance to speak of
That’s nothing I’m qualifying P1 and getting p22 in the qualifying pace program lol and my time will be like a second clear of everyone else in the same practice session.
Had the same in quali program.very stupid.hope they fix it soon
Yep common issue afaik, I have the same in My Team and it's very annoying.
I have to wait to play the only mode I'm interested in, it's unplayable this way if we can't achieve any program to upgrade our car and whatnot.
Hopefully there's a patch coming this week.
