- The platform you're playing on: PC (Steam)
- Game Version: 01.02.896391
- What type of controller/wheel you're using: Xbox One / PS5 Dualsense
- Which game mode(s) you're seeing the issue in: All
- The 16-digit report code: EDXP-JJEJ-JGAA-JJKE
F1 2021:
- Xbox One controller
- Controller vibration works
- Trigger rumble works
- Steam input disabled vs enabled makes no difference
- PS5 Dualsense controller
- Controller vibration works
- Adaptive triggers work
- Steam input disabled vs enabled makes no difference
F1 22:
- Xbox One controller
- Controller vibration works
- Trigger rumble does not work
- Steam input disabled vs enabled makes no difference
- PS5 Dualsense controller
- Controller vibration does not work
- Adaptive triggers do not work
- Steam input disabled vs enabled makes no difference
- Turning on "PlayStation Configuration Support" while Steam input is enabled adds weak controller vibration, which I assume is due to the controller now being emulated as Xbox Controller (Ingame button prompts become Xbox buttons, and the game labels it as "Xbox Controller")
same here..

The platform you're playing on: PC on steam
Game Version (you should see it at the bottom-left of the start screen): Doesn`t show.
What type of controller/wheel you're using: Xbox Series
Which game mode(s) you're seeing the issue in: All modes
The 16-digit report code (you can see this from the pause menu in-game, or under the Settings at the home screen): KXXR-GBGD-DGVA-PHTEI`ve tried everything i could find on google to solve it, but nothing makes the triggers vibrate. Driving on wet is impossible. The vibration in the controller starts when im allready sideways.
It doesn`t help the racing on dry either when i dont know when to ease off the throttle. So i`m driving like a grandmother out there.
I really hope that this could be fixed sooner than later.

Without the controller feedback like it was in every other F1 game, Pad without assists is unplayable. I can drive without pushing, but the second I try to push, I loose the rear and spin. This needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

first patch is out, and the problem is NOT fix. No change at all.
The platform you're playing on: pc steam
Game Version: most recent version
What type of controller/wheel you're using: xbox one, xbox serie x (not working for both but prefer the xbox one)
Which game mode(s) you're seeing the issue in: All mode
The 16-digit report code JBDS-RCMH-JPRC-HVXE.
I was hoping that with the first patch, it'll be fix. But no! stilll no trigger vibration, also went back to f12021 and the difference is huge. If you can't see the problem because you don't usually play on controller. Just go play f12021 and comeback to f12022. you'll see a huge difference on the acceleration and on the lockup.

No trigger vibration, same as before the new patch.
The controller it self is vibrating but not the triggers.
Was hopeful when they said this would be fixed, but now im just disappointed.

This patch at least fixed my total lack of vibration on all 4 of my pads. Like you though, I still have zero feedback through the triggers. Quite how they messed this up between F1 21 and this game is utterly beyond me. Hopefully we don't have to wait too long for an *actual* fix.

Hi everyone,
I'm afraid I don't have any updates to share on this at the moment. If I do hear back with some news I'll follow up here and let you know. Thanks for being patient with us on this.

So for those of us with champions edition, 11 days have passed and the game is still not playable. This is not an obscure problem that can be overlooked, its a fundamental part of the game mechanics. Why should we be patient when you let the customer buy a product you know is defective?

Please help us console bros out!
- 4 years ago@EA_Kent I hope you guys will fix this issue asap because if you can not feel tyres with vibration then you can not drive properly.

I play with TCS OFF since 2020 and This bug is making me furious because i can't feel the car at all when i accelerate and it only vibrates when the car is spinning, also the vibration works absolutely fine on F1 2021 but here in F1 22 the vibration is literally absent even with settings setted to MAX, please fix it ☹️

This needs to be fixed immediately, A lot of the player base plays on the controller like me and after paying for the champions edition I've stopped playing because it is very painful and annoying to play like this. It takes away the immersion and I have no fun playing anymore.

What are we to do next?
Do next? Nothing. If a person employed by a real F1 team to play this game in front of thousands of people has consistent, obvious problems with force feedback and they won't fix it, what makes you think they'll do anything for us? Imagine being the title game for the biggest motorsport league in the world and putting out a non functional game.

So looking at the "known issues"-list https://answers.ea.com/t5/Updates/F1-22-Community-Raised-Issues/m-p/11640498#M9
we have
- Inconsistent force feedback when using a controller (PC)
It is not (!!!!) only PC, on every platform the vibration is messed up.
also its not inconsistent. its consistently not working. without trigger rumble ("impulse triggers") this game is literally unplayable.
- thetruesmithy4 years agoRising Rookie
Yep can confirm it's not just pc, playing on series x and didn't have this issue until the last patch now I don't get any rumble in trigger unless and I'm already spinning or crashing.
