Ps5 1440p
Today PlayStation will add 1440p support, does this mean while playing in 120hz mode we will get 1440 instead of 1080 resolution? Or will the game keep running on 1080 mode?
Is there someone from ea who can tell us if they will update the game so we are able to use 1440?
This is typical my Sony TV got VRR update months before My ps5.,, and now my ps5 has the 1440p update but my tv doesn’t. 🙄
However that said both my tv and ps5 tell me in performance mode I’m still getting 4i at 120fps and it definitely looks it. Even if I force VRR in this game my tv says 90-100fps at 4k. If that’s accurate I don’t know but I know Sony have a strong and proud history off being awkward with compatibility to anything not Sony but ocd making Sony - Sony work perfectly

I'm not really sure why you're expecting this to change. I forget what resolution the 120 Hz mode runs at but if it could do so at 1440p then there is no reason I can see that it wouldn't already do so? And if there isn't the GPU power to do so this won't have changed.
Edit: note 1440p support for TVs has always existed. It's just monitor support that is new.
Hmm, I don’t think Performance Mode (120 fps) will run in 1440, probably Standard Mode (60 fps) may run in 2k, but unfortunately I switched from my previous 2k monitor at 60 fps to a gaming monitor able to run 120 fps on PS5 but Full HD, so I cannot test myself at the moment… 😬
