Re: A ray of hope for F1 23...

@Cpayne32 Ain't gonna happen, because if Codemasters bring the Classic Cars back, then EA absolutely must bring F1 2017-2020 back to the online stores, including their DLCs, and since those aren't EA SPORTS F1 games, the chance of this happening is near zero.

I do hope for new Supercars and new challenges though, because there are so many possible combinations, and I think that the Pirelli Hotlaps are a great replacement for the Invitational Events from the Codemasters F1 games. Also, Pirelli Hotlaps are a thing in real life. When I watched the race in Miami, it started with a Pirelli Hotlap, where several supercars ran around the Miami International Autodrome, and I assume that this was the inspiration for this game mode in F1 22.

@LuckyNico92 The invitational events are exactly the same as past games just with super cars. Its a cool feature don’t get me wrong but maybe give us the choice between super cars or the old f1 cars.

There does need to be new challenges though. They get very boring and repetitive very quickly.

@ScarDuck14 Yeah the drifting is fun for sure. Hopefully we get more choices for supercars in F1 23. I got those SC tokens very quickly and then kept getting them but was like “why?”

@Cpayne32 That's why I ask for more cars to choose, because in F1 22, you got more Supercar Tokens than cars to choose from, and more cars not only would enrichen the lore, but you wouldn't have leftover tokens that are just there, remaining unspent.

@LuckyNico92 Yeah totally agree. With F1 2020, there was 20 classic cars all together (16 in the base game, 4 behind the deluxe edition) so i would expect to aim something around that

When I see everyone request Classic cars so often it makes me wonder why there was a lack of  people playing them? From what I've read, the numbers, at least in time trial, never reached the same level of the modern cars. Codemasters have to weigh up whether the licences are worth it.

@TotosHeadphones I only played them in the invitational events during career. But I loved doing them. Supercars I just like some bottom out fun
