He says he’s racing on 110ai but as he’s doing better than Jarno Is in his my team career I find it hard to believe. Although Jarno just won Monaco in his first my team season. That’s only because it was wet qualifying and Jarno dominates all in the wet and qualified on pole
Not to mention on the codemasters video aarava came nowhere against the other 9 you tubers
Judging by pole positon in his my team Bahrain GP he is somewhere between 90 and 100. Max poled it with a 1.28.2.
110 AI is between 1.26.2 to a 1.27.4.

Aarava does a lot...and I mean a lot of video editing. Take his videos with a big grain of salt. Behind the scene, we don't see what is going on when he plays the game. It is all trickery editing. It is all for show and to hype the game for EA/Codemaster to gullible YT viewers. He works for them as a stooge, a Youtube toadi for the company. He's a sell-out to put it blunt. He's been doing this for many years! There are many others YT toadies as well. Look out for them hyping the game and telling you it is the best game since 7-Up!

It’s the fact that all is videos have a click baitness about them that’s the first giveaway

I think that's a rather unfair criticism personally. Aarava isn't a journalist or documentary maker but rather a YouTuber providing entertainment.
- mariohomoh4 years agoHero (Retired)@Ultrasonic_77 Yeah... You don't need to sell your soul to be a bad Youtuber. I steer clear away from Aarava content, too much click baity and low quality under my criteria, and that's enough criticism.
I wouldn't go as far as to claim that any content creator praising F1 titles is a paid "stooge" or "toadie". No need to go about knitting threads I cannot knot. I like his videos and I remember when he first started with the F1 videos going back many years and yes they are entertaining and very good and puts a lot of work into them. Why I said he does it to show off the game in it's pristine form.
But I'll stand by my comment. He changed after he was brought off by Codemasters a few years ago and now EA. Any criticism of F1 that he use to have or say is non existence..he just simply ignores the fact that the game had some major issues and didn't say anything about it on his channel.
I don't care if he was brought off by these corporate game developers, that his own business and he can do whatever he wants. But let's be real here, he's a Youtube advertisement for EA/Codemasters F1 games. Just know going in and watching his videos that this is his job/mission to make you purchase the game regardless if it is broken or not. Like I said, nothing wrong with it as long as you know what his goal is, to make you buy the F1 game and he is doing an excellent job at it!..lol
Edit:
I take the Stooge and Toadi comments back, that was a little too harsh. Sorry aarava. He does make the F1 game look good! and he's very good at commentating the races as well. His YT channel deserve the success it has because of it and the hard work he puts into it, no doubt about it.
What Aarava wants is for people to watch his videos, since people doing this is what earns him money. If he repeatedly says the game is rubbish it will ultimately reduce people's interest in playing the game and therefore watching the videos. This is simple self interest rather than some sort of hidden agenda.
Still, Aarava was far from positive about the pre-release info. this year, particularly the lack of career mode development..I was expecting him of all people to be positive about F1 Life but he really wasn't. I don't think I've watched any of his post-release content though.

@ALittleTiger7The gap between the potential AI laptimes is still surprising me, its so horrendous, completely killing the realism..Its weird Meza. I studied some "popular" Youtubers my team 110 AI qualy times at Bahrain.
Here is the findings: All pole positions were set by the AI and not the user/player.
Jarno Opmeer: 1.27.2
Tiametmarduk: 1.27.1
Tom97: 1.26.3
All of the above play on PC. I use PS4. My 110 AI threw up a 1.27.4.
Tom97's AI must be using steroids or something.

@Ultrasonic_77 Yes but I know a YouTuber who 90% only posts F1 series content and gives his honest opinion off the game and has more subscribers and gets more views. And I hate batting for him. But his content on this game is up with Marcel and Jarno But what he has done and admitted to. No matter how sincere his apology. He and his voice really aggravates the 💩 out off me.

I rather trust what Aarava says than trusting what people on this forum say about the game. If you read this forum you would think the game is broken. Which it's not. Most negative posts are written by PC users which explains a lot. The majority of this complains is user fault. Too slow PC, outdated drivers and all the silly stuff you get with PC gaming. Most people don't even know what they are doing. Console players are no better even the console versions are not monkey proof as I have seen a console player complain about loading times whilst it was immediately clear he was running the last gen version on a current gen console.
And why would Aarava have to fake it with lower AI? It's a video editor. Can't imagine he can't find one player who can race on 110% and do all the races for him so he only needs to record his own commentary.

Most only post on forums like this if/when they have a problem with the game, whereas those who are happily enjoying the game will just get on with playing. This doesn't make the people who post about issues 'wrong' but they may not be typical. What I look for in judging what are important issues is lots of people reporting the same thing.
Regarding Aarava's AI level I don't really see why it matters whether he races at 110 AI or something rather lower? It's not like he portrays himself as one of the top drivers on the F1 games.

Thing is a lot off people wouldnt need to come here and complain if there was better in game help. Setup hints and tips when it comes to Camera settings… Esp for FOV: Suggesting what TV (basically turn off anything in tv display settings that is on auto. ) And console settings to enable/disable help improve performance and reduce game freezes and crashes.
For instance some games on ps5 have issues when console is started from rest mode. F1 2021 was one off them.
In game manual I think would help players massively…. The good old days 😔

I miss paper manuals as much as anyone, but no manual ever written tells you how to "reduce game freezes and crashes". That would be a serious admission of incompetence.
- ScarDuck144 years agoLegend
From what I remember. And as it was decades ago I do remember most manuals came with a troubleshooting guide. But that was back the game developers, developed from their bedrooms and didn’t have to worry about toxic work environments and having to please the board and shareholders
I’ve just started watching Aaravas YT content and I really like it and have subscribed. He has mentioned the op ai speed in a straight line and also showed an ai driver going into 1st gear at a bend resulting in Aarava piling into the back of that driver.

I do enjoy some of their content, Tiametmarduk (Ben Daly) is my fav. Even though and I swear if I see his head again in the game I'll...
He does some really good content, like a live walk around the tracks, Monaco he walked the track with his GF? Great video.
Yeah, they make a lorra lorra money from it, but good luck to them.
aarava isn't too bad, but right now there's a huge saturation of "My Team" plays from all of them. BushiAntz has some really good content such as track guides if you need to find those elusive 10ths. Well worth checking out.

Wow that post got huge. I am also wondering, his races always have so much Action, a lot of dnf's (sometimes too much) a lot of lock ups. Do you experience the same? Normally in my season there are max 1 or 2 dnf's,thats it.

I have outgrown Aarava's content because it just doesn't do it for me any more - I like more organic racing, which is why I am more attracted to league racers and e-sports drivers, which are real racers and not faked. These drivers also tend to have more authentic career modes as they take mistakes on the chin. The more I watched aarava, the more I realised his career mode videos are after clicks only - which is fair enough, since it's his business, and I will never tell anyone to not watch it, since we are all entertained by different things.
On the other side, I find the criticism a bit unfair since he's one of the few who makes a yearly "10 things Codies/EA need to fix/change" video, and is pretty honest about it - these are the only F1 game related videos I still watch on his channel (others I still watch, are the Reddit reviews and the Geoguessr circuit videos). And he does a very good job with those. Perhaps he will need to stop doing them under EA, who knows.
i have to say I think aarava was one of the first to express his disappointment with F1 Life and Myteam not really getting new features
- ScarDuck144 years agoLegend
Someone must have told him about this thread cause he has just dropped a 7 things that need to be fixed video
- ScarDuck144 years agoLegend
Yeah he must have read this post. Cause everything he talks about has been posted and talked about here for a week or so
Funny how he and all the others who got the game prelaunch didn’t raise any issues for the month or so they had it. I know I know. But after watching him praise it before launch and only now talking about the games issues that they just so happened to miss.
I took back what I said about aarava. It was my bad for saying that and it was uncalled for. I wish I had never said it. It was harsh and I apologize. I was caught in the moment with the game not running right on my system PC and blaming the F1 YT content for not catching the bugs, but that besides the point, I shouldn't have said what I said, period. aarava and the others F1 YT'ers are good people.
I love his videos and I am a subscriber. I like his style and I think he was one of the original YT'bers with that unique style. I like his play-by-play commentary. IMO it is very entertaining to watch and his British accent matches the F1 content he provides! Smart kid too! ....and he's actually in the game as my mechanic!..lol
