Re: Crash physics
@martyforster Funny since the patch I’ve found the ai much better behaved towards me. And had a good tussle for a dozen laps being the meat in a max and Lewis sandwich until max blew his car up.
But do know what you mean with Miami straight. I managed to do last to first a few my team careers ago but on last lap Lewis caught me. As it was my first ever last to first race I decided to put Hamilton into the wall but he would not be moved. Ended up locked together all the way down the straight. He crossed the line first but got a 3 second penalty for illegally blocking me at the end off the straight giving me the win.
Any how I’m thinking it’s by design. On certain sections off track the ai can’t be moved off line. Especially down the Miami straight with the walls so close. Mainly To ensure the front ai runners don’t crash into each other in the first few laps and then having the entire grid pile into the back off them. Ai are great at avoiding each other in the corners but on the straights despite plenty off time and space they don’t slow down or move off there line to avoid a wrecked car:
