Re: Crossplay Playfab error

We are still investigating this and have some questions that might help us track down this issue:

For anyone experiencing this issue, please could you confirm the following:

• The platform you are playing on.
• Whether booting the game on a new profile allows you to enter crossplay mode.
• Whether you participated in any crossplay sessions during the crossplay preview periods (August 5-7 and August 12-14).

I know we've already had answers to the above from a couple of players, but would be good to more info to help spot any patterns. For example, we haven't had any reports of this from players on Origin / EA App and that could be a significant lead.

An additional line of investigation is for us to enable extended logging for any users experiencing this issue to see if that provides any more clues as to what is happening. If this is something that you are happy with then please send me a direct message and I'll run through process with you.

From the above thread, it look like the following users have reported this issue: @OlyDave96, @Wollcott, @trimtrimma11 & @Michaellawlor342. It looks like @TheRedEyeJedi93 might have hit a different issue, but still worth confirming with the extra logging.

-I did not participate in the crossplay during the trials but I did enable the feature and I got no error so could have used it if wanted. 

Hello, I have this issue too. On PC (EA Launcher), did not particpate to any trial.

Not sure what you mean by "booting the game on a new profile". You mean another EA account? The game wouldnt be available on it, so I guess not

I've been suffering this issue since crossplay launch as well, from my testing the issue seems to be account related as when I created a new account and signed up to EA play to trial the game, it worked perfectly on the same PC on the same network. 

I've also reached out to HoobieChoobie to provide logs if needed.

Yeah, that is what many persons tested and confirmed... which is even more disapointing from EA. Should be an easy fix!

Hi I’m having the playfab issue since the crossplay update. I’m playing on Xbox series x.

I'm only getting this error on Xbox Series X. For what it's worth, I recently purchased the game on EA for PC too. I get this error whenever I launch the game and it stops me playing two player career or multilayer. The same error shows up if I try to enable Crossplay, which is currently showing as disabled. The PC is unaffected - I was playing my two player career yesterday on EA, with my co-op partner on Steam.

Thanks also to those players who have already provided logs for us. The information has pointed us in the right direction, but we need more info to confirm whether this is the same issue being experienced on all platforms as there is a slight variance in the descriptions of the issue.

Hi, I also would like to be apart. Same error for me via Steam.

First time using this platform. It’s not allowing me access to my inbox to DM directly, apologies.

Also experiencing this issue since a recent update.  Playfab can't connect and I can't enable crossplay. Crossplay was working fine for me before.

I'm on PS5 and have also tested this on PS4. This appears to be an account issue with EA and playfab.

The quality of your product continues to slip, pretty disappointing.
