Here in the US you have to have a search warrant to do what they did to him making this a criminal investigation here.
I have to assume there is some law protecting his rights in Holland surely for his own saftey.
The best way for anyone to prove their ability without question is to go to another system and perform the same. Any check of the PC etc is subject to how good the check can be.
As for the legal aspects, have you seen anything to suggest any check has been completed without Thomas Ronhaar's consent? If not then there is zero issue in this regard.
