Re: F1® 22 - Patch 1.07 Discussion Thread

@Amioram i'm SA 90 and i don't get hit at first corner almost NEVER
OFC sometimes you find some trolls even there, they are probably codemaster's gamers.
Plus if you are a codemaster gamer you are probably noob, so your SA will be to low to find good players

Try again EA/codemaster fanboy

I'm on ACC too. Love it there. Actually most of my gaming time is spent on ACC nowadays. I'm also active on their subreddit, on /r/Simracingstewards and on Discord servers like CDA, Nils Naujoks and, obviously, Aris.Drives. You most definitely aware of them all, at least the Discord communities. The overall race etiquette is significantly better on ACC, hands down.

    That said:

    • NEVER being punted on a first corner incident is a blatant exaggeration unless you stay clear of open lobbies and take your online gaming to leagues like LFM.
    • If playing codemasters' titles make you a noob one would probably question your being here?
    • How does belittling someone as a "codemaster fanboy" even help selling your argument?

If you're indeed that active on ACC and are familiar with the simracing spirit Aris and other known figures in the community are always trying to instill, you probably know that this kind of attitude would be quickly frowned upon and shot down over there.

Don't want to come across as a holier than thou kind of guy, I'm certainly not immune to it. In this very topic I admit I let the frustration get the best of me and got unnecessarily abrasive with other members. But we can do better than that.

ACC is a proven product. They don't need to lower the competition to stand out. And Aris is always supportive and friendly to everyone, even casual players and guys coming from Forza and Gran Turismo. And even Aris is 110% aware of turn one incidents and Monza hell 🙃

Thank you for proving exactly my point. We aren't talking here about open lobbies, but a dedicated EXTERNAL ranked server as LFM. Of course there it doesn't happen (or much less) because there's a screening done that's inherent in the system. But that's OUTSIDE of ACC itself, and the dedicated servers do it (created by users not affiliated with Kunos). You cannot expect open lobbies in F1 22 (or even lobbies made with a very basic ranking system) to behave as a dedicated ranked server meant appositely for that purpose. It's totally preposterous. The online experience in LFM has absolutely nothing to do with ACC itself. You could create the same exact ranked servers for F1 22 and then the experience would be similar to LFM.

Open lobbies in ACC have the same exact issues that open lobbies have in F1 22 and in any other racing titles, because they aren't screened lobbies and they are open to everybody. There's no ranking system that ties only users with a certain experience and racing etiquette together. LFM was created just because such a thing didn't exist in ACC, and to make the online experience similar to how it works in iRacing (that has a dedicated ranking system). Hence using LFM as the normal online experience in ACC is silly. The only sim racing game that has a good online experience implemented in its own structure is iRacing (that, however, is a paid service), that's it.

There's a reason why normally sim racing titles don't have a dedicated ranked online experience built in, because it takes a lot of resources, investment and time to create such a system and especially to manage it. iRacing can do so because it's a paid subscription method. Elsewhere you need users outside taking the burden on themselves to create such a structure for the game in question.

  • @Artax04Sure you are right. It happens to everyone but yourself, since you are so good that nobody around commits mistakes when you are present; your influence by itself is enough to make everyone instantly top splitters. Oh my... One just needs to watch some livestreams from Aris or Jardier when they use ACC lobbies to prove you completely wrong, or just look at ACC forums to see how many people complained about ACC servers before LFM and the like were introduced just because of such reasons, but whatever.

There's a reason as to why every single ACC streamer or ranked player uses an external dedicated ranked server as LFM to play online nowadays, but I suppose that since you are such a great player in ACC (with 90 SA, lol, oh my... such achievement - that I had after just a single week of playing) you are still competing in ACC internal lobbies where none of the top ranked players actually are.

You have to witness such nonsense to believe it true. I bet how much you want that you couldn't even tell to me a single top ranked player apart from the known ones that stream the game and you can find in google, but sure, you are such a great ACC player and I'm just a CM shill, so what do I know?
