@ozzygamer275 what's the overlay top left?
Can you also uninstall Armoury Crate / Aura Creator / Corsair iCue (link to uninstall tool / Geek Uninstaller)?
Uninstall / repair EasyAntiCheat, make sure it is not loaded by default.
ASUS have listed the AMD v4 chipset driver on your mobo support page.
DDU the GPU driver in Safe Mode, reinstall without internet. Don't change any settings in the driver.
Verify Steam files, delete hardware_settings_config.xml from c:\users\%USERNAME%\Documents\My Games\F1 22\hardware_settings
Toggle crossplay in different sessions. Play, turn off crossplay, close game and relaunch, play, turn on crossplay, close game and relaunch. Rinse, lather, repeat if necessary to prove your theory about when crossplay is enabled you get the EGO Dumper.
@SteveJacksonoverlay in top left is a stream overlay, as i was streaming at the time.
uninstalling Armoury Crate and iCUE isn’t really an option as everything in my PC and setup is Corsair/ASUS, so those 2 programs are necessary, i fail to see what difference that would make anyway, not that it should make a difference.
already have reinstalled GPU drivers, no change
I will check on EasyAntiCheat but i do believe that is not loaded by default and grab that AMD V4 chipset and try the other steps tomorrow and get back to you

Overlays have caused the game to crash or stutter. Steam Overlay, less than people think, but it's "received wisdom" to disable it. 🙂
RGB software has caused previous iterations of the game to crash. It's generally nasty, flaky stuff. Google it, it's been the culprit previously.
If anyone with the Logitech wheel can verify that it should appear as four entries in the dxdiag, that would be helpful.
Reinstalled - did you DDU? DDU is better than reinstall, uninstall / reinstall.
AV software may also be an issue but I'd expect that to make itself a bit more obvious with logs, but I always recommend only Windows Defender.
If you have the v3 (or even v2) chipset driver, it's recommended to uninstall first.
- 3 years ago@SteveJackson yes i DDUed. overlay is from OBS Streamlabs
See the problem i have here is you are telling me to uninstall programs that i need just to get a game to work. that’s not how it works. a game should work regardless of background software that is running. i have no issues with any other games crashing, only F1. and maybe this attitude towards running the game with no software or overlays is why the F1 games are also so badly optimised on PC, i mean don’t even get me started on how * the steam overlay runs with the game.
I should not have to uninstall software for PC components i paid a lot of money for to make a game that i paid $100 for to work properly.
Maybe releasing a game patch to combat crashes with certain software running in the background, instead of telling people to uninstall it which is not a fix.- SteveJackson3 years agoHero (Retired)

I should add that the Steam overlay has only been an issue for me once or twice and it's generally been caused by issues with Discord or Afterburner overlays (worked fine last time I loaded the game....which was at the last patch, ran benchmark, no issue)
