Re: F1 22 PC VR jittering, freezing screens and crashing

I got it fixed in a different way.

Why is there NOT a post on this?

Use OpenOVR.

I replaced the dll file in F1 22.

If you need step by step info I can do that no problem.

I played yesterday for an 1h30m without crash.

It used to crash every time I went into instant replay.

No more, smooth as well. Today I will try on high setting. I even improved my Australia time in time trail with my second try I couldnt believe it.

Portugal was a different beast! Wow ,with all the elevation changes its mich easier to keep your car on track as you get a feel for what the car would actually do

Post a step by step please.

The word FIXED is not admitted here.

First explain clearly what you did with instructions.

    Then we'll see.

  • It’s been so long now that I would be surprised if it got fixed. EA couldn’t care less at this point. They’re on to 2023 now.

I’m not angry, I’m very disappointed.

  • @SteveJackson workaround would be a better word to use here. 😅 But I love to have a guide. It will hopefully help a few people. I personally hope F1 2023 gets PSVR2 support Think I'll grab a PSVR2 for that reason.

I have a Quest 2 sat unused because of this damn game. Core function of the game is so terrible I've not been motivated to VR. VR isn't that wow or realistic to me to get that excited but I'd be interested to see the 'fix/workaround'. Then I can have a go at setting it up and know if the workaround does really make a difference, if needed, etc.

@ClassicGamerNL i highly recomend you DONT. PS5 hardware is not enough power for VR.

I bought a ps5 and psvr2, tried Horizon, FM7 and RE8. And i sent them back for refund.

    Runs like S.H.I.T

  • @TonaZWhy would you come to a message forum to tell lies? In VR it's important that games run smoothly or folks would sick. There is no PSVR2 game that runs below the required framerate.

"FM7"? FORZA? yeah I'm pretty sure it doesn't run well at all lol.

Edit- oops sorry that was from an older post.  I got linked here by someone else on the forum from a different thread.
