Re: Fuel Consumption

@P4st3l1ak generally use less fuel in wet conditions because you won’t be on throttle so much. Plus more gentle applying throttle. Interesting your getting more accurate feedback than what the sexy man and myself are getting.. But at this point nothing surprises me with the game mechanics

Thanks for the confirmation, mate and I'm glad everything seems to be working fine for you and pretty much how it was for me before the patch.

But once again it's just 'curious' how the patch actually fixed things for some people and completely broke to others, like me and @ScarDuck14 , for example.

This still shows that there IS something wrong and it's super weird that the same game behaves completely differently for different people - let's hope someday they get it working right for EVERYone - cheers!

    ...

    EDIT:

I needed exactly 5.5 extra laps of fuel for Bahrain (fuel for 34.5 laps) and I needed 4.5 extra laps of fuel for Australia (fuel for 33.5 laps).

Both races had 29 laps, but I needed 2 different fuel loads to complete each one of them.
Meaning, to me, it's literally just a matter of taking a guess and hoping I have enough fuel for the races - that's just.. bad..

Ouch, that is a lot! Is this Career, which Season? If yes perhaps the more you get a faster car the more you need higher fuel but I may be wrong as I usually play in GP mode and I don't think it may be compared too much. In any case if you can try to run your "own" fuel program using a telemetry tool.

Personally I do it and  it works very well:

I run 100% race length so in Bahrain 57 laps. The game suggests 109,2 kg which are 60,6 laps (+3,60).

My tests said 102,75 kg, I started the race with 103 kg which are 57,2 laps so +0,20. I ended the race with +0,10 laps (0,18 kg).

To be super sure you may add a further half a lap... 😉

    Ciao,

    Nuv

@NuvolarixAlong with His sexiness play my team so very possibly a career/my team bug or related to my team car upgrades: If your not getting the same in GP mode.

I’ve just had a look through the rest off the ai cars cockpit cams and they are all showing fuel off +3-5 laps. So must be a bug in my team career

when its working I’ve add +0.60 and has always worked out well

Yes, that's a MyTeam career and that's my Season 5.
The car is already fully upgraded, since the beginning of season 4, BUT..
The fuel calculation was perfect and spot on during the patch 1.09 (while I was still on my Season 4), then came patch 1.10/1.11 and the last races of my Season 4 and the first races of my Season 5 were this little mess described on my previous posts.

I have to agree with ScarDuck that it's a bug/glitch on the MyTeam mode (maybe it affects the regular career as well) and the car behavior is different from the GP Mode - still, this particular issue, to me, only started to happen when patch 1.10 was released, so it's also something related to that patch (and the same issue keeps happening on the current patch 1.11).

I though about using some external huds (like the ones from SimHub) that would hopefully calculate things properly for me, but that uses more computer resources (my PC isn't the strongest one) and it's just a shame that I might have to use external softwares to do something very basic that the game itself should do, but it's just not doing, so.. I can only hope that somehow this gets fixed and working properly (as it was on patch 1.09 - which 'proves' it already worked perfectly, so hopefully it can happen again) in the future patches (hopefully 1.12, which is supposed to be the next one).

    Cheers, my friends!
    =)

It's interesting that game allows to exceed 100kg when regulations limit it to 100kg per race 😉

But game also allows to override Parc Ferme rule so not much of a surprise there 😉

    Isn’t it 110kg?

You're right, I must have remembered it wrong.

Damn, I always try to keep it under 50kg for 50% race while I could race a little more with 5kg extra fuel 😉
